In a series of tweets on Saturday, 46-year-old actress Nicole Eggert claimed she was "molested" repeatedly from the time she was 14 until she was 17.
"Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep," the series of tweets by Eggert began. She subsequently deleted tweets published in E!News and The New York Post where she wrote "A molested child is irrelevent? That is what u r saying?" and "I was 14,15,16 and 17."
Eggert planned to go on Dr Oz to tell her story, and decided to prelude that with blindsiding Scott with the tweets yesterday. (Keep in mind, her and Scott were friends up until this past week when he was notified by Dr Oz's show that Eggert was making these claims, so he was completely blindsided.)
Scott did a facebook live rebuttal. Everyone knows they were a couple, but that happened AFTER Charles in Charge, at which point she was over 18. He also provided stories she put out that refuted her own claims.
Baio's attorneys sent all of this to the Dr Oz show, including the fact that running with this story in which they had been presented evidence that Eggert herself had refuted them would open the Dr Oz shows up to significant damages. Dr Oz has now cancelled her appearance.
She has since deleted the texts.
