Quote:Brentwood resident David Sams owns a Google Home and an Amazon audio speaker. He says both give two different answers when asking "Who is Jesus Christ?"
"I even asked Google who is David Sams? Google knew who I was, but Google did not know who Jesus was, Google did not know who Jesus Christ was, and Google did not know who God was," Sams said.
Smart speakers are a technology owned by about 40 million Americans -- that's about one in six people in the nation.
And this religious conversation at home is making waves on social media.
Comments, videos and test results posted asking "Who is Jesus?"
The general response from Google Home is "I'm not sure how to help you with that."
There's still no response from Google as to why that is the response.
Jesús Maria Figueroa (born February 20, 1957) is a Dominican former professional baseball player. He appeared in 115 games during the 1980 baseball season with the Chicago Cubs, mostly as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement. Figueroa also played 611 games in Minor League Baseball, over the course of nine seasons.
Figueroa works for the Toronto Blue Jays as their batting practice pitcher, a position he has held since 1989.[1]
It's pretty dumb on Google's part if they intentionally programmed their device to not know who Jesus Christ is. Also, it's dumb if anyone would be getting their panties in a bunch if their Google purchase does not know who Jesus Christ is. I use google as my default search engine, and I can find loads of references of Jesus.
