Anybody seen this? CUSA's basketball tournament is being played in Frisco at The Ford Center, which is primarily a football field. Not completely strange, until you look at how the basketball courts are to be set up...

There is going to be a 20+ yard gap between the first row of regular GA seating and the basketball court...
Their whole conference is a strange setup, so I guess it just fits.

If you "walk across the street" to the CUSA Board, you'll find that a lot of them are not happy with this arrangement either . . .

I don't blame them. What was CUSA main office thinking?
I was pretty jealous that they got to play there until I saw this
At least when the Sun Belt used the dual court setup in Hot Springs they were in two different rooms.

This looks like a setup you'd see at an AAU tournament.
Here's a view from between the curtain of the CUSA basketball tournament, taken from the CUSA board.

Those poor fans... the pep bands are sitting at floor level. They have the worst view.

I don't understand why the portable seats have such a flat pitch. The portables we used at Hot Springs were steeper.
Double the playing surface means...double the marketz?
I don't like to dump on CUSA, but their admin sucks. Look at these pics that were taken during the games.

Talk about bush league.

This image is hilarious. As if the people in these seats can actually enjoy either game...

I bet the guy in the folding metal chair is glad he dropped the money on a VIP ticket.
They might have just lost their shot at a 10 or 11 seeded MTSU too add to C-USA disaster week

2 straight loses to end the season for MTSU, right after earning a ranking, and right before a selection committee that is known for screwing anyone not playing in a major conference gets to pick the teams...Ouch!

At least they'll get some home NIT games.

Well...WKYG says he LOVES the set up, and has started a thread thanking Judy for how great of a tournament it is.

That means it must really suck.

Reminds me of Pelphrey's last year at USA
The annoying thing is when you're watching a game and there's a burst of cheers on the other court. Probably sounds kinda funny on TV as well.

I was just thinking about how the buzzer works if they are doing games simultaneously. I would be pissed if I was a player and I kept hearing the buzzer or a whistle for the other court thinking it was for my game.

EDIT: Apparently that did actually happen. Players stopped playing when they heard a whistle from the other court.
