Is the financing in place for the IPF phase 2 which includes the actual indoor practice field? What else does phase 2 contain? What is the cost of phase 2?

Would someone help me with straight answers?
I can't give you a "straight answer" in the sense that I don't know any inside information. What I CAN tell you is, The interview on 560 the other day with our deputy AD indicated that no, they do not have all of the funds in place for Phase II. He didn't come out and say that, but his comments led me to believe that.
They changed general contractors. That GC is working on some budgeting items now & sounds like there were a few changes from the original plan (Norvell's input maybe??) Its gonna get built.
Like many of us have said all along, the money is not there.

"Ahhhh but they said on the radio that we borrowed the necessary money and its all good to go!!!!!!!"

Leave business to to business people.
We are down roughly $7 million in ticket revenue from basketball the last 2 seasons.
The BB ticket revenue is irrelevant.

a Multi-Million Dollar hole is never irrelevant, Big Boosters are being asked to give to things they have never been asked in the past this has to divert some of their money.

My question is, If they don't have the money NOW when are they going to have the money?

and if the answer is no time soon, when are they going to fess up?

Agree. I say shut it down. Basketball is a drain on our athletic program.
You can't shut down basketball without shutting down the entire AD.
Though I think I know the tone you were going for there.

Yeah, it was a "look at how stupid those posts were back in 2010-2012" retaliatory strike.
Word.

I agree.
The first phase had to be completed to build the structure over the practice field due to soil issues. The new footings put down during the construction of phase one will be the footings for the practice facility. If they had not done it this way, the two structures would have needed to be separate, because the soil was too unstable. The practice fields are built on fill dirt.
