Is playing Savannah State that bad? Even Miami is playing them.

If SS does drop a division, maybe we can get their Miami date.

They are one of the bottom (if not the bottom) FCS team. They are so bad, they are beginning a transition back to D-II.
Middle Tennessee being our final game and being away on the same day as the Iron Bowl is good...maybe even the best possible scenario for us scheduling wise.

Diehard Blazer fans can travel to see their team play...while we aren't on the hook for having to deal with a very crowded football day.
Always good to be out of Alabama on Iron Bowl day.
The best games may be the last 3 games.
I think starting 4-0 and being 7-1 going into the UTSA game is doable assuming no injuries.
For a program that wants to become a national brand, it is disappointing that there are no west coast, midwest or northeastern games to expand on our conference footprint. Maybe in future years?
You don't become a national brand by playing nationally. You do it by winning your games.
I say 8-4 or 9-3.

I believe you become a national name brand by doing BOTH. Eventually UAB must move beyond its "Comeback Kid" identity and earn its recognition by whom it plays - and defeats.

no
Why waste money traveling across country to play western teams or northeastern teams. Beating a Mississippi STate or LSU would make bigger news and attract more fans to the program than beating Washington State or Boston College.

Win more, get on tv. TV has made it unnecessary to travel around the country to get your name out.
