Houston 12 E(PIG) vs Boise, Florida, Texas Tech in San Diego
SMU 11 E(PIG) vs Syracuse, Seton Hall, Ohio St in Dallas
Cincy 4 MW vs South Dakota St, Tennessee/Buffalo in Boise
Wichita St 5 S vs Louisiana, Auburn in Boise

Houston and SMU the 2nd and 3rd teams in the tourney right now.

SMU with a really big game IMO on Thursday @ UConn. Kind of tricky conference game that you have to win if you're in SMU's position right now.
Boise is like a preordained draw for UC. They love sending this team out west most years while teams with higher seeds will play close to home. Sucks.
CONFERENCE TEAMS
ACC... 9
SEC... 8
Big East... 7
Big 12... 6
American... 4
Big Ten ...4
Pac-12 ...3
Mountain West ....2
West Coast ...2

These 4 are probably best case scenario right now for the league this year. We need to get SMU and Houston in there a little more confortable, but this is good

The thing is, when you're a 4 seed, you're going to get stuck with the worst pods.
Dallas would be rough
Lunardi takes the easy way out when he sets up his pods and seed lines, you can see it.

Isn't Larrier out? No excuses for SMU in that one...

4. Cincinnati (7)
Seriously, is there a team that is this good with so little publicity? The Bearcats could get to the Final Four, and no one should be shocked. This team defends, has a variety of scorers and is going to win the American -- book it. The Bearcats host Temple on Wednesday and are at Memphis on Saturday.

23. SMU (NR): Hey, guess who is back in the Power 36 and on the road to a potential NCAA berth? The Mustangs. A win at Wichita State and then a home win over Tulane puts the Mustang back in the good graces in the American at 4-3. Now, the Mustangs must take this act on the road again and win agains UConn on Thursday and at home against East Carolina on Sunday.

24. Houston (NR)
The Cougars are back in the Power 36 like their conference rival SMU. Houston lost at Tulane but then the bounce back win over Wichita State Saturday was proof this team has staying power. Rob Gray is a stud and can lead this team to the tournament. Houston has a week to work on itself with a game against South Florida up next on Sunday. That’s good because the following week is going to be tough with games at Cincinnati and UCF.

28. Wichita State (8): Now we’re into the penalty phase of the Power 36. The Shockers still have the look of a team that could go far in the NCAAs, but this was a troubling week, losing at home to SMU and at Houston. Those two teams are legit and ultimately could/should be in the field. Wichita State has a chance to get healthy this week in two games where they will be challenged versus UCF on Thursday and Tulsa on Sunday.

I don’t think Cincy would want SDSU in the first round. That’s a tough matchup.

I've pretty much given up on Basketball, thanks ECU, but did I just read that right...did Hitachi Power lose to both SMU and UH?

Yep and just the other day we landed on the moon.

That might explain how sluggish WSU looked vs UH.
Unfortunately, Fall’s injury was a significant blow to UCF’s NCAA Tourney hopes. I thought UCF (with Taylor getting into playing shape) was a dark horse AAC auto bid winner.

No, you're wrong. "Houston, we got a problem..." We just went around the moon.

We saw them play in the Caymans. They were good, so I agree that's not the kind of first round matchup you want as a 4 seed, but I don't think we'd have THAT much trouble with them. Either way, these seeds all get jumbled once the smaller conf tourneys start shaking out anyway, as this is based on all the favorites winning which never happens.
The way to avoid a team like SD State (and avoid being shipped to Boise) is to get a 2 seed. Just keep winning

The upsets that occur are a lot of times in the lower ones. might be able to get one of the 14's on the bracket instead of SD State- but there it's possibly a team like a Bucknell who can be pretty dangerous.

If Daum gets hot .. they are hard to stop. Not often do you see someone with his skillset and size with that good of a shooting touch.
