We need to step it up, we haven't played well in the last couple minutes of the game.
Jon Elmore with Marshall's 4th ever Triple Double.

ODU hasn't been at full strength all season, nor will they be. Two interior players (6'-7" Redshirt Senior, transfer from Wake - McClinton, and 6'-9" Senior, junior college transfer - Kah) have missed every game due to preseason injuries.

It was a good call. It wasn't intentional, but was textbook flagrant. Bad habit he has to flail elbows. Don't think he realized anyone was there.

I thought the refs at the UAB Marshall game were excellent. Great game. Free throws killed UAB. We are a great shooting team (when given the opportunity), but we could not hit from the line tonight. We win in regulation if we hit one more. Marshall can't say that since they were perfect from the line
Marshall was 18-18 100% from the line. I love that we can shoot FTs.

This isn't a game time issue, it is a lack of decent contracts issue. Saturday when one of the biggest mid major games of the year will be played between two top 40 teams (WKU/MT), ESPNU is showing two bad AAC teams in UCF/USF at 5, and Memphis/Tulsa at 7. We get to be on Twitter/Facebook via Stadium though..... smh

If we had a contract with ESPN in any fashion at all that allowed them to pick up big time games from us for ESPN1/2/U, we would see plenty of them this year. People would much rather watch a couple CUSA games that are happening this weekend rather than the ones I listed above. The issue is not that ESPN would rather have those games shown than ours, but it is simply that they don't even have the option to pick them up at all.

Yeah, good luck getting an at-large if none of the committee is ever able to watch you play. Out of sight, out of mind.

We went though about a 10-12 year period where we was guaranteed to shoot 66-68% from the line. After a few years of Mark Cline and now Cornelius Jackson teaching FTs (Cline shot 91% from the line in HS and at Wake Forest, Jackson shot 90% from the line in HS and at Tenn/Marshall) that percentage has dramatically increased.

This is the 2nd time under D'Antoni Marshall has been perfect from the line. They were 24/24 a few years ago in conference.
Top of the conference is close! Bottom has improved. Conference is looking much better this year. Things looking up for Charlotte with Judy gone, and things should improve for rice.

Was that against us? Seems like I remember that happening.

That sucks. Not the same but we are missing 6-10 Iran Bennett due to the NCAA having an issue with some courses he took at his high school before going to Hargrave Military Academy.
