Is transferring from NC State after he graduates this Spring. He wasn't ever able to overtake Finley as the Wolfpack's QB. I have a friend who frequents their message board and he says some posters have suggested ODU as a good fit. With him being similar to Williams, and with Williams being only a sophomore, I doubt it. McClendon is looking for a place he can play right away.
It could allow Williams to get that redshirt year back he lost last year if the guy did beat him out.

I don't know anything about this guy, but I wouldn't think that Williams is so good that he should have any decent QB locked out of starting at ODU next season, especially a more mature senior.
Never really done anything but worth a shot to bring in and compete for job.
If somebody did beat SW out next year, it wouldn't be the worst thing. It would still be nice to get a RS year for SW.

Agreed. Williams has a bright future as a Monarch, but certainly hasn't been so great that he deserves to be automatically anointed the starter. May the best man win

He was terrible last year.
Not saying he will work for us but you never know if a kid will fit into your system better unless he gives it a try. I do hope our coaches are keeping their options open.

Only Giles would say he doesn't want a Qb from the SEC to transfer to ODU.
I would take him, but I don't believe just because a QB played in a bigger conference that they are great players. Look at all the people that transfer to G5 and never player. (FAU has a few examples)
The guy from NC State looks to be a better fit.
