USF and ECU in the same week = plummeting rankings

We actually gained votes even though we dropped the 2 spots. If we go 2-0 this week we should be back up to #5 or better.

The possibilities of the WSU vs Cincy games being top 10 matchups are looking good. 04-cheers

Looking better than it has in the past, but we have 2 very tough games this week and Houston will more than likely be fired up.

Tulsa is about as bad as USF, I agree.
If UCF beats Cincinnati tomorrow night I wonder if the Knights might start to pick up a few votes next week ?

WSU up to #4 in the coaches poll.

Cincy up to #11.

Its possible, but you probably need several of the 3 and 4 loss teams in the poll to lose as well.

The leagues best chance to get a 3rd team in is Houston for right now. If they go 3-1 over their next 4 with the loss being to WSU or Cincy I think they have a good shot to get in.

That's nice but this thread isn't about anyone's KP ranking. 01-wingedeagle

If UCF finishes around 50th in the RPI then I assume they'll be one of the "first four out" teams.

Anyway, nice to see Cincy climbing and Wichita State mostly holding serve for now. If WSU can get through this week unscathed (toughest week in the AAC thus far) then I would expect to climb a little again next week.
The AAC is young, but what is the highest ranked matchups you guys have had? Just curious if this could be one of the highest (if both Cincy and WSU continue winning)

That's awesome. I thank you. That said though, if UCF finishes with 20 wins then their RPI would, by default, be somewhere in the mid-to-high 30's - which will make the NCAA selection committee make some hard decisions.

Rankings are rankings. Doesn’t suit your narrative Wonder why?

We are talking about human polls here, not metrics. I know perfectly well that your team has a slight lead on mine in Kenpom.

Cincy #8 and WSU #12 in KP. Happy?

Now back to the discussion.
It's all of interest. Just suspect on timing...etc. I like Kenpom very much for metrics and think it is pretty accurate compared to the others.

But always fun to see what the human polls say. Plus that is where media seems to put most of the focus. Right now the higher WSU and Cincy are the more eyes that will be on the AAC and that is generally a good thing.

It depends on who the 20 wins are against but you would have a shot. If you get to 21 or 22 wins including a win or two in the conference tourney I like your chances.
I am pulling for Houston to be that 3rd team. I would love to see them start getting votes, just not at the cost of my team lol
