NU won the first game of their weekend series with Maine 5-3 at Matthews Arena. Adam Gaudette score did 2 goals to bring his season total to 17. He leads the country with 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists).

NU is in 2nd place just 1 point behind BC in Hockey East.

The two teams meet again today at 5pm at Mathews.

Maine looked really scary for much of the game. They are a pretty good team.

Hopefully Gaudette and Sikura feel a bit snubbed from not getting a call to the Olympics and are beasts the rest of the way.
NU bounces back from a 2 to 1 deficit to beat the Dirty Cubs 5 to 3 to sweep the series and move into 1st place in Hockey East!

Brandon Hawkins, the transfer from Bowling Green, scored his 3rd goal since becoming eligible a few weeks ago. He’s a HUGE addition to our 2nd line. A legit goal scorer.

NU plays a home-and-home with UMass next weekend.
