Using the ACCN as the core, here's the new conference:

BC
PITT
SYRACUSE
VT
LOUISVILLE
UVA

New teams

UCONN
RUTGERS
TEMPLE
WEST VIRGINIA
MARYLAND
MEMPHIS
CINCINNATI
Nobody has any thoughts on this?
That's just the old Big East
My thought is replace Memphis with Penn State and I’d be fine with it. But there’s zero chance of this conference ever happening.
Hard to follow. The ACCN would be a new conference, but - essentially - kick out UNC, Duke, NCST, Wake, Miami, GT, ND, FSU, Clemson and Virginia Tech? Rutgers and Maryland would willingly bolt the B1G, along with GOR/exit fees, and $50 million annually, to come to this league without a single blue blood football program (and likely less overall money)? Same for West Virginia. Appears you are trying to just recreate the Football Big East (along with Virginia, Maryland and Memphis).

A Northeast-based conference could, eventually, come to fruition, but it would have to start with Penn State. They are a blue blood with national football prestige, and could command such an organization, if it wanted to. That's years and years from ever being considered, however. (And there's a reason Penn State-to-the-Big East never materialized either).

Yeah, now that you point it out, other than UVA, it more or less it.
I didn't pick PSU because I didn't think they'd leave the B1G. And as always, I ignored exit fees.
No thank you. I like the ACC better than the Old Big East. The football and tailgating is better.
These exercises are dumb.

And they keep coming too.....
Makes no sense for the ACC.
What if you did this:
NORTH
West Virginia
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Tennessee
North Carolina
Duke
SOUTH
Clemson
South Carolina
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Florida
Florida State

I don’t understand threads like this? Why do people do continually do things like this? What’s the entertainment value in this?

It makes no sense.

How can you do stuff like this or post all the ridiculous rumors everyone’s heard from their “sources” and then you get mad at Miko for making fun of it? It needs to be made fun of because it’s completely ridiculous.

Well I thought this thread was to throw out wacky ideas

How about this:
MID-ATLANTIC DIVISION
West Virginia
Maryland
Navy
James Madison
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Old Dominion

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: CHARLOTTE

CAROLINA DIVISION
Appalachian State
Wake Forest
Charlotte
North Carolina
Duke
NC State
ECU

Every game would be well traveled!

Uh, because that's the ENTIRE POINT OF THE BOARD EXISTENCE!
I obviously was replying to Yinzer
I think a better question is if Notre Dame ever joins as a full member who becomes the 16th and how do you structure it?

Do you keep the Atlantic and Coastal? 4 team pods?

Depends on who is available at the time, and how much influence ND would have in who their +1 would be.

Pods are a message board thing. Leagues with 12+ teams have to be in 2 divisions if you want to play a CCG.

No, because it makes no sense.
