If coaches have their way, players will be allowed to play in up to four games and still retain their redshirt. This is a good idea because it would help teams deal with injuries in their ever expanding schedules and would allow freshmen to get their feet wet without waiting an entire year.

I heard that the games do not have to be played consecutively and they can be played at any time in the regular season. Sounds like a pretty good rule.
Long overdue and definitely a benefit for every program and athlete... With the coaches being unanimous, would be hard for the NCAA to say no to this, but we all know the lack of common sense from them.
