Sendy has...to go. I’ve peppered this forum with it for years. Get ready to see it frequently.
Is Frederick injured?

Seriously, will they have the guts to jack up prices for the Akron game this season?

They will!

I really thought this team would be better/more consistent than last year's team. Disappointed in the lack of progress and in some individual cases regression. To beat a dead horse how much of a contribution are we seeing from players added to the roster?

Agree 100%! This has been my biggest critisism of Rob during his tenure. Simply does not control his team well. Lots of wild shots from numerous players. Guys who should NOT shoot 3's go ahead and shoot them and the timing of the 3pt shots at times (given the score, shot clock, opportunity to go inside, etc.).

Very frustrating to watch!
cant shoot consistently from outside, don't appear to have a desire to play 40 mins of defense and no leadership. Dangerous trifecta and why we're likely staring at 6-9 MAC wins (maybe)

I think what folks are talking about is 'basketball IQ' ... I believe Avery has it, and to a certain degree ADR and even Zabo ... but after that a big ??? ... with the biggest ??? being JW ... when things are going well (Oregon State/CMU) ... all looks good. But when the game requires the ability to adjust on the fly ... whew.

Des, JW, BJ, DPip and many times even Mitch leave a lot to be desired in the basketball IQ department ... I guess some of that is recruiting ... but that seems to be the mid-major challenge ... you can find good IQ players, but they are D3, not D1 talents. ... You can find a lot of D1 talents, but they don't have the IQ ... Go on the majority of these fans boards and you will see/read much of the same comments, particularly after a loss.

Not sure changing coaches changes that problem ... evidence? ... Kent probably has the No. 1 PG (Avery) in the MAC when it comes to assists/turnovers ... but also has one of the worst assist/turnover teams in the league.

Mid-major basketball

Last year, for the most part, Avery, Hall, Edwin were pretty good most nights w/basketball IQ, thereby limiting JWs impact on his bad nights. Don't have that comfort zone this season. Perhaps the more the focus continues to go to ADR, the less impact JWs bad nights will have on Kent's outcome .... maybe????
Last year you could absolutely positively book 20 points and 12 rebounds per game from Jimmy Hall. It was a lock. A certainty.

The only certainty for this year's team is you have absolutely no idea who is going to show up.

Now you may or may not have locker room issues. Wonderful.

I agree with you but be careful how you refer to a lack of IQ on this board. I did it last year and you would have thought that I had called out Mother Theresa. This was obvious last year and I thought that Rob sold his soul to Jimmy Hall. In retrospect, he was right for the season at hand, but there was a lack of development of leadership for the other players. (except for Avery). Now we have a group of players without floor leadership. Several games ago I was going to remark that Rob had sold his soul this year to JW. Only he can thrill us with his occasional awesome display of athletic ability, and then set a undisciplined pattern for the entire team. Then came Oregon State, and he looked like a different player. I assumed that Rob got to him and it appeared to carry over to CMU. How wrong could I be. He is still the same hot and cold with no game sense whatsoever. Hopefully, the light switches on very soon. Still trying to be optimistic.
