Well we get the win and Iron Bowl Trophy, but you got the national championship in football. We played well for being 2 guys down tonight.

South Carolina takes care of Georgia and Florida and Tennessee are in a close key game.

If Tennessee loses then Auburn clinches a share of the conference title right?

Well Tennessee won. So only Tennessee could pass Auburn now. But they would need for us to lose all three remaining games while they sweep all 3 in order to take the title. I guess technically we clinch a share of the title with just 1 more win. But in reality we beat Tennessee head to head so I still think we would keep the top seed in the Conference tourney with 1 more win. With two wins we take it all.
Mizzou should not have lost to Ole Miss at home. My positivity is leaking a little now. At Kentucky next at Lexington, and Vandy on the road. Finish with Arky at home. We need at least two more wins to make 20. The SEC tourney is in St Louis, so there is that.04-cheers

Word out today that you guys will have Michael Porter back for the game this Saturday, Medic. Should make a great game even greater, glad to see the young man able to play after all, especially when he easily could have sat out the rest of the year and still been assured of a top ten, and possibly top five, draft pick based on his potential alone. Looking forward to seeing him in action - as long as he isn't TOO good this Saturday! 04-cheers

You guys seriously owe us some pain, so I am a little tight in the bowels right now. lol
I knew Kentucky would beat us like a drum on their home court. We are quickly removing ourselves as an NCAA tourney selection. Whatever happens, much improvement over last year.
Auburn had a poor shooting night and Florida's defense was the difference. Two games to go and other than Tennessee and Auburn everyone else is playing for seeding.
2/27/18

Well my Tigers are limping into the final game of the season with a title on the line. Tennessee had a huge road win over Miss State, Auburn dropped another on the road to the Hogs who were hot tonight, Florida blew out Bama, and Missouri won a big one over Vandy.

Saturday could be the make or break game for schools to get lined up for the NCAA and a few schools need a strong finish and a deep run in the conference tourney.

It's also a make or break game for the SEC as a whole. Auburn/TN/KY/Arkansas should all be fine.

Texas A&M has the RPI but could use a couple of wins including the tournament. Plays Bama in a potential play-in game?

Missouri at 40 should be ok especially with Porter's return but can't afford bad losses. Plays Arkansas and has a chance for a solid win.

Florida is at 45 and I think deserving but probably needs a win or two. Plays KY. Winning would be nice but not sure losing will hurt too much except that it's at home.

Alabama is fading fast. At A&M. Play-in?

Ms. St. Losing last night hurts a lot. At LSU.

Prediction: at least A&M and Florida make it, giving us 6 bids. Missouri makes it with a win against Ark or against a decent opponent in the tourney.

7 bids sounds reasonable now, but would be a bit of a let down after thinking 8 for a while. Maybe Georgia makes a tourney run.
South Carolina is playing well but too many losses this year. NIT bound it appears
3/3/18

Well Auburn wins a share of the SEC crown by downing the Gamecocks 79-70. Tennessee catches Georgia at the end to claim a share as well 66-61. Missouri takes down the Hogs, Florida runs away from Kentucky and A&M holds off Alabama.

Auburn will be the #1 seed in the tournament because of the head to head win with Tennessee in Knoxville early in the season.
Bama was fine a couple of weeks ago. Now they've lost 5 straight and looked fairly horrible doing it.

We probably have to win at least one SEC tournament game to make it into the NCAA field.
Mizzou split their last four SEC games and got win #20 tonight. I told Jr I was hoping for a split. Still think we have to win at least one tourney game. Feeling throwing up nervous, although we will have Porter back. 03-puke

Nah, Missouri is fine.

The committee would have to conspire against you at this point. The SEC's league RPI is much better than it usually is.
Man this has been yet another horrible season of Billy Kennedy squandering talent and just looking absolutely clueless.

This team was picked by many to be an Elite 8 team and instead we're likely limping into the Tournament as an 8 seed and a likely early exit in Round 2

And next year is set to be an utter disaster thanks to pitiful, non-existent recruiting.

.....but we keep tolerating it because he's such a nice, church going guy with a sad life story.
Well Mizzou has the winner of the Georgia-Vandy game. We are seeded fifth and if we win our opening round we get Kentucky. We will have Porter, but the team has gelled without him, so I am not sure how changing the lineup will help. We will see.04-cheers
Roll Tide! Great game Auburn! 03-cool
TN scrapes by Miss St.

I'm expecting the Ark/Florida game to be a good one and two good games tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Tide! I don't know if it was defense, or Auburn being plain cold, but likely it was both that led to your victory today. Sexton played lights out and we really didn't have an answer. I hope your big man that went down in the first half isn't hurt too badly. You'll need the depth in the tourney.

Well Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas advance and it looks like we will get 8 into the field of 66 or whatever the number is these days. I just hope now they can all win their first game and that we place a couple in the final four!
We lost to Georgia with Porter in the line up. We have a habit of getting blown up in the first half. Almost made the difference up. Almost sends us home. At least home is only 140 miles away. lol
