App State #1

Don’t give a damn #2-12
1a & 1b?
Troy and App are 1... both have very good wins and a bad loss.

App might have gotten Troy 1 step closer to getting ranked at end of bowls tho.
Troy 1
App 2

I’d roll with that. Can’t make the argument that we’re ahead of Troy. Having to much fun with the win tonight to even try.

Great job representing the conference. Perhaps 10 more years of it and we'll be considered on par with the MAC. Hopefully we go 4-1.

Now come on guys, let's not be silly...

Troy #1
App State #2

Troy = 11-2 record, tougher schedule, win over #16 LSU, and 6 wins over bowl-bound teams

App State = 9-4 record, weaker schedule, best win is Toledo, and 3 wins over bowl-bound teams
Need to wait for for the NMST game for these, but I'd say:

1a Troy
1b App
3a stAte
3b GSU

NMST could be 3c with a win.

I would have loved to seen a GSU vs NMSU game this season. There have been some tough losses and good wins between the two teams. It would have been a good game to see who was better.
I think it depends on what your power rankings are measuring. Over the course of the whole season, Troy has a better body of work. Over the last four games, App State has played better football than anybody in the conference at any point during this season. If App and Troy played right now, I believe App would win, but I acknowledge that Troy had the better overall season.

True
App State/Troy #1
Everyone else but #2
Georgia Southern #3
1. Troy
2. App
3. GSU
4. NMSU
5. ULM
6. ULL
7. USA
8. Idaho
9. Coastal Carolina
10. Georgia Southern
11. Texas State
Don’t confuse power rankings with best resume. Troy wins best resume for the season, App clear second, but since last November App has dominated. Nice way to send these transition seniors off!
Who cares? Troy will finish the year ranked higher than App regardless of the debate here. I'm grateful we finished the year as we did given how things were midseason.

Chief you forgot someone....or did You.
1. Troy

4. GSU

If we're looking at how each team closed out the season, I might give it to App State?

Hard to say though. Troy was able to curb stomp North Texas with 9 important players out, 6 being starters.

Still... I may give it to App.

I have seen yours and Coach Rob' s power rankings and really can't see us as third. At the least we should be behind anyone who won their bowl. We were just way too sloppy, no power running game at all,and an inability to win a close game.
I’ll give Troy number 1 in power rankings this year. Could we have beaten them (especially the way we played at the end of the season)? Definitely. We didn’t get that chance though, and objectively I will say they have the best resume of anyone in the conference.

One thing that is not debatable; we have been the number 1 team in the league since we joined. More wins, more conference wins, more bowl wins (even when we couldn’t play year 1) then anybody in the league. Nobody has a winning record against us or more conference titles then us. I’ll take that, pretty good right out of FCS 04-rock
