CMU lost badly to WYOMING.
Good news is super QB Josh Allen - remember him in 2016 - is leaving.

Why cant NIU find a diamond in the rough like him who had no offers coming outta HS?

Ohio wins big as expected. Who the F is FIU?

Akron lost badly.

Any comparisons of bowl games played late into season suggest NIU in for rough game.05-stirthepot

TURDLEDO may be only remaining MAC team to win a bowl game.01-lauramac2
You mean besides Ohio?
Bad matchups.
Should have been
Toledo vs FAU
Ohio vs Wyoming
Akron vs UAB
CMU vs App State

Good call...Toledo fau would have been a better matchup but we don't want more exposure for Toledo haha. South Florida market, lane, probably best rated of the lesser bowls. Although if they got smashed it could have helped

We are in no place to bash FIU, they have butch Davis.

Ohio destroyed UAB 41-6.
Cybes - u going to the bowl game?
CMU should have been more than up to task against Wyoming. The 6 turnovers crippled their defense which was up to the task. Their offense decided to give the game away.

If memory serves, NIU did have a quarterback who I watched on TV at the Heisman presentation who didn't have any offers coming out of high school. Strikes me that was a pretty big diamond in a large rough

CMU's Defense was ok. The Chips' OL cost them the game.

INDEED ! Once every few decades is the most to expect.

BTW: Tom Brady had a rocky start to his college career with ups and downs as an underclass starter and non starter. He was pick 199 in NFL draft. So much for PLAYER evaluations by those most in the know.

The Dollar General Bowl had about 1 million viewers more than the Boca Raton Bowl last season. The 2017 Boca Raton Bowl viewership was down 12% from 2016. It was down almost 1 million viewers from the 2.4 million that watched Toledo beat #24 Temple in 2015.

How about back to back qbs if you count Harnish. He only had one other offer to be an option qb.
Wait to see but Josh Allen - like Garrapolo and Roma - likely to play regularly in NFL once seasoned like hot winter chili.

Superman as Lynch was - NIU offensive system calling for dual threat run/pass QB unlikely fit for many super diamonds in the ruff with potential to develop pro level QB skill set.
The thing is Josh Allen didn't have to do much. He only had around 150 yards throwing because CMU turned the ball over SEVEN times and kept giving them a short field and easy scores.

If I recall correctly Chandler Harnish did not get much attention either for his QB play and won MAC player of the year.

Too bad NIU did not take a flyer on his younger brother Piercen a LB at St Francis U Ft Wayne IN. 2nd team NAIA AA as a Jr for a team that has now won back 2 back NAIA National Championships.

So more than 1 million viewers have seen Toledo playing like crap.
