10 year deal. Thoughts on what you guys think this means for FAU, for the conference, and for us. Discuss . . .

I think Bobby better step his game up
Really good move for FAU. They locked down their guy and if he leaves they'll get a nice buyout from whatever school hires him away. Pretty good either way.
2 more years TOPS
Lane Kiffin has exposed how bad our offensive and defensive schemes are. We need a big upgrade and probably new, dynamic coordinators.

Not the first conference coach either. Brohm did it to us twice. That's not even counting the P5 games that haven't been close.
I think all it means is that FAU gets a piece from whoever eventually hires him...and someone will.

Bingo. Nobody expects him to stay 10 years. It just means now the buy-in for snagging him has gone up. So if he does go somewhere, it’ll be to someone that has money to burn. This is good for FAU but it’s not because they can feel confident that he’ll be patrolling the sidelines and trolling the Twitter feeds come 2026.

Bingo!
Well done by FAU. Went above and beyond expectations. I remember a lot of us (me included) were mocking FAU and the hire last year. Now it's a bit envious, isn't it. And here we are saying he won't last 2 years... interesting...
All we heard was how F_As needed to be kicked out of the league. And 10 games later they both finished ahead of ODU.

But we beat one of them 02-13-banana
Aim High.

Get High.

Whatever it is.
If this whole Lane Kiffin and FAU train gets to far ahead of us they could become a front-runner for the AAC before us.

Kiffin has the chance to upset Oklahoma and Ohio St in the next two years.

That would require UCF and USF being out of the league, as I doubt they would ever cosign that.

They'd have to establish consistent dominance, even after Kiffin leaves, and fill their stadium on the regular to even get in the conversation. Plus, as Drunkard said, UCF and USF have to be not there. Also, their basketball has to get a lot better; the AAC already has an East Carolina and at least they have football history and support.
I don't think Lane Kiffen has any plans of going anywhere. He has nothing to prove. He has been a coach at a high pressure job and realizes you are only as good as your latest win or your latest season. I don't see him leaving anytime soon.

I still think he leaves if he has a good year next year or maybe the year after. .
