No way. James Clapper said so. Surely you don't think he committed perjury on national TV without consequence, do you? Besides, we all know the intelligence community doesn't lie.

Not to that extent.
Chitz, all you need to do is Google someones name and you'll get an idea where that person lives. The internet has made it easier for guvment to find us, easily.
If you send a text or email and don’t think every one is sitting in real-time in the gub’ment’s versions of Hal9000 somewhere, bless you.

If you don’t think the gub’ment doesn’t know what you buy online or peruse on the web, you are doubly blessed.

Mix in google earth pro and all kinds of other readily accessible platforms and even a layperson can normally tell if you have dogs, kids, what type of car you drive and all kinds of other stuff.

Christ, google street view pic of my home includes my kids playing in the front yard. It’s the halcyon days for intrusive government and bad guys alike. Sometimes the lines blur between the two.

They've got to manage the massive amount of data and I don't think our government is on everyone. But will they start?
I'm not defending China here but I think Communism in a country of how many billions has to do something about THEIR well being. We have 300 million and we can't even stop a few dozen Anti-fa thugs, and that's with actual videos of their destruction.

Their form of Capitalist Communism is working otherwise not even their military could cope against billions of disgruntled Chinese. Right now they're much better off than they've ever been.

But, here's my thinking. WE don't need communism we're doing pretty well with Capitalism. Let's keep it that way.

In other words, the Chinese people aren't "ready" for democracy?

Honestly, I don't think they ever will be. It needs a VERY strong form of government to keep so many people at bay. For one, if the Demoncraptic Party pulled their shenanigans in China that they pulled here they'd be in front of a firing squad. Clinton wouldn't be so high and mighty, she'd be low and buried. They take no prisoners if they fight corruption in their government workers. It's bang, bang you're dead.

We fulfilled Orwell in 2001. We are working on Minority Report now.
