Did he leave to accept the DC job at Ala?

That sucks. We only won 6 damn games both seasons, lost last year's bowl and got turned down this year. Why pick our coaches and not the ones with better records like UNT, FAU, or USM's? Just when we try to get better and get consistency stuff like this happens. I bet if we won 9 games, Frank Wilson would be gone too knowing our luck. So we have no OC, DC, new QB, and to top it off, a brand new AD. This auta be just great next year. Can't wait.

Welcome to the world of being a G5ers. This is why the WMUs, NIUs, UCFs, Houstons, Fresnos, can play in BCS/NY6 bowls one year and the next year not even make a bowl or even win a game. When G5s have success their staff, coaches, and ADs will get poached by the P5s.

There are really only 3 or 4 teams that aren't stepping stone jobs. Even a team like Florida State got poached.

Ive seen he is going to be a co dc at bama. Thats 2 sec coordinators from Monkens staff

Has very little to do with wins. Our overall defense was 2nd in the nation. 1st was Alabama.

Total points against, total yards against, and IIRC passing yards against were all top 10. That's why Golding got picked.

Yep. If you have continuity on a G5 staff chances are the fans are unhappy with the direction of the program. Coordinators in the SEC make more than our head coaches. I miss the days when we used to lose coordinators because they were good. It's better than being stuck with them because they are just competent enough not to fire.
