28 of our 32 points (88 %) have come from 3 guys: Cacok, Talley, Taylor.

Fornes is having a bad night except on the glass (4 boards). Need more out of Richmond too.

UNCW has WAY more talent but it's not really showing up right now...only up 1 at the break.

One decent takeaway there: UNCG averages 10 made threes a game, 23rd in the nation. We held them to 3-19 from three in the half.

Some of that was cold shooting, but it seemed like we were closing out on shooters nicely for the most part, too. Gotta keep that up, because if they regress back to the mean in that category, we're in trouble.

This has been a sloppy game. Not boxing out, chasing defenders instead of slipping screens, bad hands in the post......

Crappy end to the first half but certainly much more scrappy on the defensive end

No, the talent level is about even. We're better at point guard, but everywhere else they have decent talent. And they certainly have more depth. 10 different players are on the scoresheet for them thru the half, with 7 of those 10 making at least one shot from the field.

If we were significantly better, it would show in the numbers for UNCG on the season. But it doesn't. The 8.5-point spread was probably high, but they deserved to be considered the favorite in this one.

Hawks ended the half shooting 1-14. Their zone changed the game and UNCW didn't look good attacking the zone at all. They also missed wide open 3 balls too. Hawks need a solid high post passing/shooting threat out there and I don't know that answer. I'd screen that zone in a minute at the high post.

I disagree. Hawks have more athletic and talented guards, but they are out of control-that's the problem. AND, they are pressing and we aren't and can't break the press. Cacok is LIGHT years better than everyone they have. They look like the better coached team. And, they should....this is a new coach at UNCW, but they better learn how to break a freaking press.

Hawks play really stupid. Throwing the ball right out of bounds. Why is Cacok handling the ball out there? This is laughable how bad UNCW is playing.
