A half empty stadium, a poorly played game against a team JMU should have easily beaten. I'm not sure this is one we should be putting on our promotional video. But the Dukes won and that's all that matters. It will mean nothing next week. The Bison had plenty of close calls in all their championship runs.

I thought they kids played well, rallied and beat a good team. Weber state is a good FCS team. I'd put them up against anyone in the CAA and they win. Defensive line is very good.

I'm sorry. Not my intent. The finish was awesome, but you asked what more could anyone want. They barely beat the #4 team in the MVFC. I was disappointed in the number of fans at the game as well. The Dukes should be better than that. But none of that will matter last week. Playoffs are all about survive and advance!

Weber St were “co-champs” of the Big Sky Conference. Not in MVFC.

Again, minus the SUU game earlier in the year when Cantwell went down early in the game with an injury, Weber St. only lost against a Pac-10 Cal team that they were beating heading into the 4th quarter.

This was a damn good team that JMU played tonight!

I know that. But last week Weber State barely beat the #4 team in the MVFC at home. And we barely beat that team. Using the transitive property we are equivalent to the #4 team in the MVFC. A team that lost to the two teams we likely have to beat to win the national championship. And the Big Sky is not a very good conference this year. Their #3 team lost big to a non-scholarship team who then lost by 35 to NDSU.

So if the Dukes are a serious title contender, this should not have been a difficult game. But again, that doesn't matter. It's survive and advance. The next two games will be very difficult and take a much better game than we played tonight against much better teams than we played all season.

The "Dukes should be better than that"? How so? To "barely beat" is to "beat"...as in "win and advance"...there are no gimmes left in the playoffs. Weber State was an excellent and motivated team. The Dukes beat 'em. And to use your own words the "Playoffs are all about survive and advance!"

Exactly Longhorn. And if we are using the Transitive Property, we won the ACC in 2010 and we beat Alabama this year. Survive and Advance is all that matters

Dukes had plenty of things go wrong against a good team and survived. I hope we don't throw a pick six(practically) to start the game again and hope we don't drop as many important passes again, but the Dukes found a way to stay alive.

Also, did everyone else really think the crowd was that bad? Maybe I had low expectations, but considering the way things are with the playoffs and that it's a Friday game, I thought it was pretty good. Also thought those who were there did a great job of being loud as hell. Although, as usual, sometimes at all the wrong times. I'd put that partly on JMU though... They've done a good job of getting the band to STFU on offense, now they need to get the cameras to stop getting crowd shots for the video boards while the offense is at the line of scrimmage and they need to stop playing music that'll fire the crowd up before big offensive plays. That fourth down was especially frustrating watching Schor and the whole sideline trying to shut everyone up while they just get louder.

Why the eff are we unable to get this noise, video, and band thing right?
