Your past AD, Yurachek ?, has been hired for the AD job at Arkansas. Is he going to be a parrot and sing the same song of traditional Arkansas when considering in-state games or will he be a maverick and try to move away from it in a few years. Any particular statements he has made over the years at Coastal regarding CCU games with in-state games? Trying to get some history and inclinations of how this guy thinks.

At Coastal he fought for us to play Clemson and SCar. And we did.

However, this is a completely different situation. I don't think he is going to change the tune at Arkansas. Completely different situation there.

True. But what are his core beliefs? His personality towards in-state games? Is he going to question authority, is he a fighter, does he go against the grain so to speak or is he someone that will keep his mouth shut if that is what he is told to do.

He's opinionated, vocal, and has absolutely no problem going against the grain.
I think he's into self-preservation and self-promotion. He's not going to go against a long held belief if it will cost him his job.

He embodies the temperament of the program he represents?

Agreed, but he wasn't afraid to rattle some cages here at Coastal. Which I liked, personally.

I mean...this was a guy that advocated for disciplinary action for students on campus that wore apparel for any other school besides Coastal.

But you're right. He's a guy looking after his career first.

Yeah, I know he was not a fan favorite in Houston reading some of the Cougar fans rejoicing to the Mountaintop today.

From what I could tell from his time at Coastal, he was respected by some and very much appreciated. But still others were rubbed the wrong way by him.

Nevertheless, in my opinion, you can't argue with results. And we did make steps forward during his time here.

Maybe Rokamortis has a different opinion, but I did see him as somewhat of a polarizing yet effective figure.

He helped "professionalize" our athletic department which was sorely needed. I agree, internally he did some things that were uncomfortable but necessary like changing procedures and standing up to coaches. But I can't see him doing something that would appear to be contrary to a longstanding tradition that would likely cause his fan base to be angry and probably wouldn't benefit his institution.

I agree 100%. Like I said in my first post, I can't see him changing the tune at Arkansas and all of the sudden putting A State on the schedule. That just isn't going to happen. Period.

Thanks guys. The environment is a little better for the game but doubt it will change anytime soon. He will have the responsibility of hiring the new football coach and it had better be a home run or he is in trouble. Of course, i hope he screws it totally up and they have disaster for the next several years.
