Hopefully ULaLa takes him. His playing looks as if he was shopping himself. Lol
There were like 8-10 guys on the list, so I bet his chances are pretty slim.

South Alabama was really clicking on offense too.

Yeah, who really knows what will happen. I bet Clark knows a lot of good offensive coaches, if somebody else were to hire Koenning.

Haven't, Heard where Les Is gone. Normally they don't make adjustments until, won gets a wiff that one has left. If, Koening left, where did he go. If he did, I, trust Coach's Judgement, Probally, just talk, What's he going to do take the Head Coaching job at UNA. That's normally what happens when a offense Cordinator does so well, he wants his own program.

When they say UNA is going DI, is that FBS or FCS. I would think MemphisBlazer can answer this.

FCS, old 1AA.

Well, Thank You Sir, That's good, remember the Bobby Wallace days before he went to Temple and resuricted that progam, I know they are tough up their in Yankee land. North Alabama. Be interesting if they can match what they, did back then, National Championships and all.
Any way any one find out where Les is going.

Bobby Wallace DID NOT resurrect Temple. He was so bad Temple football got kicked out of the Big East and he was sent back to Division II.
I'm not going to complain about this year's offense production...it was ugly, but it worked.

I will however point out how lucky we were in the grand scheme of things. A local freshman running back just happens to pan out, and he really didn't hit the wall until the Florida game. Without him, I think we're UTEP-ing it up all season.

For the passing game, there's nowhere to go but up.
Consider also that we were lucky enough to have significant leads that allowed us to lean on the defense in the 2nd half...
Offense did well when the defense put them in position to score. Our offense had very few big plays and could usually have one sustained drive in the game (10-15 play drive that resulted in TD). Outside of that we had a lot of 3 and out against poor defenses. A lot of things could contribute (poor OL play, etc) but we need to be better offensively than 25 pts per game in CUSA.

To take the program where Clark wants it, we HAVE to be much better offensively. We will soon be an elite team on defense.
Give Les a full arsenal (including O line) first. We literally had guys playing out of their natural positions all year across the front. It's hard to stretch a defense if you can't pass protect a 4 man front with 5 guys for more than 3 seconds. The game has ALWAYS been won or lost within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage. That will never change no matter what the scheme or coordinator. BTW as far as run blocking, I thought our front did an outstanding job all year. These guys will be back next year bigger, stronger and with more backup help.

This is going to be a critical recruiting cycle for the guys up front. Quality O linemen are always going to be at a premium and we need to get ours.

Les is gone after the bowl game. Maybe before.

I think Les was looking toward FAU back then....pretty sure they don't need him anymore.

So if Les doesn't take another job Clark is for sure letting him go? I'd be happy with a new OC next season.

There are a lot of job yet to come open/be filled. I guarantee you Les is trying to get some of them. Whether anybody else will hire him or not remains to be seen.
I know many are not happy with the OC but no matter who we had as OC we were going to be very conservative this season due to personnel. Maybe you get some different calls here and there but very conservative.

Let it play out and see where the dominoes fall. I viewed Les here for a short time any way. Regardless of who we have if we get or Les is here you will see it ramped up a bit next season IMHO and as we get the personnel Bill wants you will see the offense take off.
Relax. Breathe in. Breathe out. Wax on. Wax off.

+1 Exactly. I look at what we did with the personnel we had and I gained a ton of respect for Les.
Scratch Will Hall off the list. He was just hired by Mike Norvall at Memphis. I would much rather have Mark Freeman anyway. Our instate recruiting would skyrocket with him!
Trust in Bill. Trust the process........ ;-)
Agree. Coach likes Mark a lot though.........he was real close to being here the first time around. Him & Clark have a lot in common, multiple state titles. Bessemer Academy, Spanish Fort, Prattville, etc. Freeman has something like 6-8 former players on UAB's squad, including the Johnston's. They absolutely love the man! He also has 3-4 Thompson players I'd love to land......Ahmad Edwards, Mo Edwards, the Rayam kid, the JR> Hawaiian QB next year, etc.
