I like the idea of Idaho, Montana and Montana St joining the Summit .
If scheduled in three-game road trips the twelve team conference could work out travel cost wise.

Idaho, UM, and MSU
UND, NDSU, and SDSU
Denver, USD, and UNO
ORU, WIU, and PUFW

The first two groups would be a flight two short bus trips flight back.
The second two groups might need an extra flight or long bus trip.
The Big Sky would have eight with
EWU-PSU
ISU-Weber ST
UNC-SUU
NAU-Sac ST
Interesting idea, although due to classes, would that mean Fri, Sat, Sun schedule? It would shorten up the conference season though.
Seems like it could save on travel cost. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday then Friday and Saturday or Sunday.
Like Thursday night game followed by Friday then Sunday afternoon fly back.

Something like that and maybe some travel partner type out of conference scheduling could also reduce costs.

Like Idaho and Montana play at Weber St and ISU and they return the next year. There should be some ooc scheduling together to save cost .Even when the two schools are not in the same conference. WSU or EWU one night Idaho the next.Especially for remote schools or bottom half of D1 conferences.
Maybe four games to go along with the typical twenty conference games . Leaving room for play up games and tournaments pay games.
