He should've stayed at Georgia Tech. Georgia Southern folks don't give coaches 3 years to prove themselves

At Georgia Southern you don't need 3 years. Sorry, but it's true.

Tulane thought they had found a hidden gem because Fritz won the Sun Belt here but they're coming to terms that he's probably not going to make Tulane relevant in the AAC.

is that fair though? you ask a coach to move down to Statesboro and kick him out of town in 1 year. Coaches talk in their circles.

I think 3 years is pretty perfect. 1st year to work out the kinks and evaluate players. 2nd year to develop players and adjust your scheme to fit the players' strength. 3rd year to finally see some results or get him out.

I don't see the problem with it. Either produce or hit the road.
What is she mad about?

He conned a 2 year deal out of it, so he's got guaranteed money next year anyway. He'll find a job pretty quick anyway. He's a decent coach, but I'm not sure he's got what's needed to guide an offense without help from the top. He needs to be under an offensive minded HC.

When you start the season running 5-7 plays and simplify the playbook to run 4-6 plays and seem to get stuck on 17 pts. per game and no real improvement it's time to go. We don't expect perfection but we do expect to see continuous improvement.

I’m saying. I don’t think they have a right to be upset at all unless she really enjoyed Statesboro and is angry they have to leave. We have a new head coach who is obviously going to bring in his preferred guys. Sorry but it’s the nature of the business. Take your free money and go.

Coach CL has let go our OC DC and strength coach today

They all underperformed. Recruits were not here bc of them either.
Yep. We need to get rid of more too
Rumor has it Vic Cabral (current assistant at Samford) has been offered and accepted a position on staff and Scott Sloan (current assistant/recruiter at App state) has been offered but no word yet on his decision.

Lunsford is trying to get the boys back together
Contract details are slowing the Sloan deal. Southern also looking at Tulane OL Coach Atkins for a position. Lou Conte from Citadel also being looked at on offensive side
I have no idea how Chris Foster wasn’t the first coach fired. Him keeping his job past day one on the job is unfathomable

Why do you say this?

Foster is actually an outstanding coach and recruiter. He made bone headed mistakes but replacing him with s better coach won’t be easy
