Tell us more......

The post by the App fan was classless and should not have been made. This is a really, really dumb response though.

I recommend you go back and look at your data a little closer. The median age in Boone is 21.4 years old. Hmmm what could that mean? The average price of a house is $300k. Hmmm.

Not attacking Jonesboro at all, sure it’s nice. Just a really dumb post by you in response to a dumb post by an App fan.
How exactly, should we respond? Give us all a lesson on how to be classy.

I’d probably just ignore it, or post a nice picture of the area.

You guys are getting hosed in the housing market. In Boone the median price is $275,200 for 1,163 sq ft. Here, $275,000 can get you 2500-2800 sq ft.

I'm guessing the median age there is skewed due to the college population. We have the same issue here just not to the same degree.....again due to population. That is one of the factors leading to the large difference between our per capita and median incomes.

I looked up and posted 2 facts about 2 places. It was the same 2 facts in both places. You called that dumb, probably because you didn't like what the facts stated. They are still facts.

I'm not attacking you or Boone. I did that in response to that one App fan. I may not have done that on another day and it probably wasn't the nicest thing to have done. I will refrain from continuing this argument due to time restraints and I think that it is probably not beneficial to anyone. Please accept my apologies as I've had a change of heart since beginning this post.
Look, after Troy and Boone, Jonesboro is probably the third best town in the conference. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Also, I apologize for my distasteful comments. I just thought the original post reaked of arrogance and deserved a stupid reply.

Troy has the best defense in the league and they proved it tonight. Although we were able to rack up over 500 yards, their red zone D lived up to their billing. Our Defense wasn't too shabby either. Our offense moved the ball, but couldn't overcome the turnovers. I do believe we have the best receivers in the league. Anyways, Kudos to Troy. Kudos to ASU. The 2 best teams in the league.

Well that settles it. We'll send the trophy back on Monday.

Good Lord I am so happy this is not going to be a thing next year....Congrast APP and Troy you are SUN BELT CHAMPIONS and you earned it.
And I've had a filthy earworm since Saturday night... Troy's fight song has been stuck in my head for nearly 48 hours now. Just horrible!

Congrats to Troy and App!

Learn that there is more to statistics than simply stating them. You must interpret them, run regressions, scatter plots, etc. To fully understand the depth and meaning of what you are saying.

$13,000 median income looks bad until you realize it is solely a college town with an average age of 21.4 and only a service industry area driven by the University.

Again, check the industry type, transient population, average age, etc. Use minitab to compare the same data points from Jonesboro and Boone and I'm sure you'll find some strong correlations between the same data points.

It isn't rocket science to know that the information you provided can't be taken at face value.
Almost all the cities in the Sunbelt are small college towns. We all have the issue of college influx. Boone is not alone there.

Also, I have a busy life and do not care to do anymore work to satisfy anyone other than myself.
