Are we after Nick Marshall ? Do we want to be ? It looks like he has a good chance of playing against us in the near future.

I'm sure we are aware of him and I'm sure we are recruiting his teammate mentioned above. But I don't know about him for sure.

Id wager most teams in our conference would love to have a player his size. If he isn't a problem guy.

None of our coaches are following him on Twitter.
@BNTK30
So we are recruiting Fredricks? Lol

Where did he decommit from? Which wing would he play over?

If we lost two guys (I hope we dont), I would get two bigs. Can never have enough bigs. I doubt we get Marshall, but he do need to recruit some looking at conference school. Matt Horton is headed to wku and he was in our backyard almost.

Fredericks committed to UNT in June/July I think and then DEcommitted more recently.

Nothing wrong with a smaller 4 if he is a strong rebounder and good outside shooter as this guy seems to be. And he could play the 3 or the 4 for us.

I think another big is mandatory but the last spot would probably go to the best player they can get.

We have a lot of wings but so does MTSU.

Horton seems like a less developed Gueye so we didn't really need another. (And we went after the kid from Chicago who will have 4 years instead) Hortons stats aren't great.

In looking for a juco player, we need someone who averages at least 15 ppg and if its a big, maybe 10-12 but only if he is a strong rebounder. 8-12 boards.

But, the stats can be funny. A guy might average 10&10 in the panhandle conference but he could get 15&12 at an AL or TN juco where the competition is soft.

One year, we signed a guy from a California juco that averaged 20&10.
I thought he was going to be a stud. But when I called Andy Kennedy, he said not to expect much because the California jucos are really weak. Sure enough, he never played and transferred to d2 or naia.

So Fredericks in the panhandle, might only be averaging 14&7 and 35%. But still respectable.

Perry had good numbers last year but it was in a weak d2 juco. So it appears Ehsan was right to start Nick as juco guys often need a year to get used to the speed. But Perry has had flashes this year. He should be real good next year. Id like to get Fredericks to add to our core of good shooters.

Charlotte back when they were good and we were in the same conference always had 4-5 wings that could fill it up from 25+ feet.

They had one guy that regularly took 27 footers just because it looked like he didn't want to bother dribbling up a few more feet. Guy was deadly from long range. Brendon Plavich.

A unt decommit I would pass on based off of this, but i would watch his film first.

We had this lately an it produced nothing. It basically a guard guard set and we don't have the bigs for it. Some blasted Davis when he thought about doing it. When it worked last around here it was Anderson. The last tourney team we had, had four guys over 6-8 playing.

We are recruiting for one spot as of now, McCoy's scholarship by the time anybody thinks of leaving would be around transfer time when 800 other guys leave their school

Right, but our backcourt matches up well with theirs.

Use the Norton line as he does thing that don't show up on the star sheet. He's never been the focal point of a team. He runs the floor well, defends the rim, athletic enough, and we wouldn't need him to be Cokley. Gueye is a wing
.

Raekwon Long is in TN maybe he fits what you're looking for. Long and Nick Marshall are former highly rated centers

Don't know how soft AL or TN JuCo are but players get signed. Haase loved TCC for a reason. JD is doing well there too

Could be more to it

Maybe, maybe not

Eshan was maybe right to start Nick as he is a true point guard one of five we've recruited in the past ten years. Perry does Perry run the point guard spot or Bryant and Nick? In this three set we need five good guards so Nick,Scootie,Nate, Ryan, and Jalen would lose minutes to this guy.

We are in the same conference now. Basketball has changed some since then. They are my dark horse with FAU because they had NBA guys as HC.

That would the type of wing I would sign another shooter.
