Bowden forgot to mention the quick release and decision making ability.
Uh Oh, Toledo does not do well against running QBs.

The Toledo game plan needs to be (always should be) jump out to a big lead.
Force Akron into 3rd and longs.
Force the rookie to throw the ball and make mistakes.
Probably to late now to move Gilliam to linebacker. If he has any experience playing defense, he would be a huge addition to the defense. Good size and speed and it looks likely that Rosi and Fisher are the TE's for the future - and we are thin at LB. If you want to see someone that hits hard all the time, just watch him on the kick-off and punt return teams. I think he has the top three hits on the season.

I've seen some of his hits...perfect size for LB.

Speaking of LB's...we lost one last year, who flipped to Purdue at the last minute...Derrick Barnes. He is 6'1 250 and played in 11 games, starting 2 for the Boilers this year...too bad we missed out on this kid. We definitely need some LB help.

In the running for a big JUCO LB'er.
Purdue hired that head coach because he fit their beloved QB history. Not sure he was expected to bring a defense but apparently, that is a strong point. If UT and that coach were going after the same kid, goes to show, some good talent evaluators on that side of the ball too at UT. Just a bit more to bring these kids home and we'll have an offense and also the fun side of the game.

Losing Barnes at the last second to Purdue really sucked ass. I believe he was our highest-rated recruit at the time, and he certainly would have started as a true freshman based on our LB play this year. I'm excited to have a healthy Tre'Shun Wilson back next year as we're going to have to rely on him as our main LB (showed potential in his limited action early on).
