Call me crazy, but I don't see a way for Alabama to get in this way. With wins and losses, anyone that drops will be replaced with someone jumping them for the Top 4.

There would be an argument for the Tide should Ohio State beat Wisconsin, or should T.C.U. beat Oklahoma. That's about it. Alabama's only loss is now to the #2 school and Ohio State was blown out by Iowa and lost to OU by 15 at home. T.C.U. is currently 11th and I doubt that the Frogs would clear that much ground and they also have 2 losses to lesser ranked teams.

Agreed Jr. TCU over OU will probably happen. They play in Dallas too. Revenge game. Ohio State is playing for the Rose Bowl. That is incentive.

Alabama needs both TCU to beat OU and Ohio State to beat Wisconsin to guarantee a top four spot. If Ohio State and Oklahoma win, it’ll be a toss up between Ohio State and Alabama for that fourth spot—not sure how committee is gonna vote quality wins vs quality losses plus conference champs factor.

This is kind of why I want a P4.

Having these conference championship games determine playoff participants would be outstanding.

True, but the P5 does a similar thing.

Well, I'd rather they be auto-bids for the conference champions.

If we've got 4 leagues then 4 champions would fill it out.
Well congratulations to the Dogs. It was a reversal of the last game in eerily similar fashion. I wanted Auburn to win but must admit I had reservations about it knowing that Johnson was injured and obviously more than just a dislocation. You'll note that that Eli Stove didn't return (high ankle sprain) and Carlton Davis went down.

What I feared was that Auburn which was more injured than most realized coming out of the Bama game, was too impaired to probably represent the SEC effectively in the CFP. I hope Michelle is okay for Georgia because they are going to need everybody well to make a good showing. I think the best team may be sitting it out. I'm pulling for the Buckeyes but I think Wisconsin is going to take them.

Good luck to Georgia moving forward!
