Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel breaks down some anticipated openings.

Spoiler...he thinks Chip Kelly is going to UCLA and that affects every other opening.
It’s 50-50 to be honest. We won’t find out until after the regular seasons are over for both schools due to his NFL separation contract payments requirements

I never understood the fascination with Kelly. Did Oregon win a championship? Did they play SEC defenses? Does he know the Florida recruiting circuit? And it is known that he personally doesn't love to recruit. IMO, a Kelly hire to Florida would have been just as out of place and wrong as that of the last two.

Frost may be a solid hire, but he won't be playing against AAC defenses at Florida.

While I merely speculate about Dabo heading to Auburn if Malzahn leaves, both Florida jobs would be plumb assignments. And remember Dabo and Spurrier and their wives are pretty solid friends.

As usual I don't think any of the names circulated in the news right now turn out to be the final selections. There is a bidding up process which includes exposing names as possible candidates for the jobs. And then there are the final decisions which frequently turn out to be surprises.

He had a good job for life at Oregon. Great school, great place to live, and also developed a self-feeding recruiting program. I thought he was an idiot for leaving for Philadelphia. Spurrier had the same dream job for life and ruined it for the Redskins job. Neither of these guys were going to be good pro coaches. Oregon would have given him a blank contract and let him fill in the numbers.
