I took it as trying to increase football turnout, by throwing in a lesser sport freebie ticket as an extra incentive.

There was no hidden agenda with my question. I and my wife are interested in going Saturday night, and were wondering if the deal applied to people whom have already bought tickets to Saturday's football game in the form of season tickets.

All you need is a football ticket stub for the basketball game.
Also, a Black Friday sale has fb tix for $10-$20, that gets you the bb game for free.
