I double checked, but there might be an error or omission. I will triple check when I have time. Our game numbers versus SMU are not up yet, but phenomenally cool numbers through the first 10 games. We might not be a national brand, but I am 100% sure that we are getting some kind of a following like Boise, and like Baylor and Oklahoma State when they were putting up video game numbers.  I don't think that it can be denied that a lot of people watch us because we score so much and are super fun.

These are raw numbers that don't account for day of the week, network, what other games were being played at the same time, audience share or any of that. Still, for the 4th year in a row our numbers are very good versus our peers.  The numbers are in millions or thousands and the last number at the end is our rank that week against the other 5 teams in our conference. Yes, EVERY single one of our games was the highest rated game that week versus games involving the other 5 teams listed.

MEMPHIS

286k Virginia ESPN2 (3)
84k ECU ESPNU (4)
70k Tulsa ESPNU (4)

It shows that we do pack a bit of a "pop" compared to our peer group and I think it also shows how much of a joke it is when UConn fans claim that they deliver any kind of market at all.  Also, our game against Navy was on ESPN News, which is a tier below ESPNU and we still drew much better numbers than any of the 6 teams on ESPN News or ESPNU.  We also have the highest rated ESPN2 game out of the bunch. USF has mediocre numbers otherwise, but does have the top 2 ESPN rated games.

We aren't a national brand, but we for sure are building a brand. At least a few fans around the country tune in when they see that we are playing.
Unfortunately we were head to head with Michigan vs Wisconsin which turned out to be the most watched game of the year with a 3.5 over night.

No need. Double verification results in a 96% confidence rate, anything more is inefficient.

Being on ESPNNEWS hurt also, how many non-Tiger games have you watched on ESPNNEWS? How many people even get ESPNNEWS?

The obvious question that leaps to mind regarding the bolded info above is simply, "Why?"

Michigan?

Wisconsin?

Neither of those names are sexy or intriguing.

It must be that Michigan has a huge fan/alumni base.

They're very intriguing. Michigan has Harbaugh flailing away towards a 4th place finish in the B1GE, which Ann Arbor's boosters are paying $8mil a year for. Then Wisconsin is undefeated and a score of teams ranked 6-10 are hoping they lose.

Which is impressive because our numbers were still better than the ESPNU games the others played in.
The Memphis/UCLA game was one of the best televised non conference games of the year for any audience who were not fans of either team. If your team wasnt playing, and yo wanted to watch exciting football, that was the game to tune in.
