Got UNC to play at UAB and now at Stanford
Roy Williams plays all of his former assistants on the road, no matter how small the school is to help out his former assistant as they start out. It's not just Haase.
Haase needs to give us a h&h

Haase knows What Bartow arena is like when a big name school comes in. He would not get an RPI boost playing UAB. It serves him no benefit to play UAB on the road. His job is to look after his team, not his former team.

To be fair i don’t think Stanford would draw a big crowd
We have much bigger problems right now than suitcase #2 bringing his team to Bartow.

Stanford University has everything to lose and nothing to gain by playing UAB.

Except that Roy Williams has had enough success that he can withstand criticism for losing to a CUSA team on the road. Haase hasn't.

I was just paraphrasing what MB had just said, using the boilerplate response that UA uses whenever playing UAB comes up. Just substitute "Alabama" for "Stanford".

This isn’t a good enough reason not to schedule a home and home with his former assistant. Just my opinion.

I agree. If Haase is going to gush over how much he appreciates Roy coming to play him and what it means to his program he should do be willing to do the same for Rob.

Now if it's that he doesn't want to play his former players out of a since of awkwardness that's different. After Lee, Cokely, Sullivan, and Norton graduate and if Ehsan and Haase still have their current jobs Stanford should come to Bartow.
Unc is a perennial top 10 team. Stanford fights to make the tournament. A loss to UAB could literally be the difference between making the tournament for them.

With all Due respect. What problems do we have. That was the caymons island tournament. we went 0 and 3 their. We do have our Team back intact with no injuries to speak of except perhaps Nick and and a no show of HA-HA. Besides that, thought we played to the level of competition with what we had to work with. Sure all the teams had the same complimentaries, catch my drift. I'd offer any one of those teams to come to Bartow when where on equal playing grounds and our food and housing and such.
UNC spanked Stanford, 96-72, at Stanford.
Haase wont be at Stanford very long
Stanford is fully implementing the half-Haase system, on track to give up almost 120 points in 40 minutes to #7 Florida. UF 58 Stanford 39 at halftime in Portland.

Update: UF with 91 points in 30 and a half minutes of basketball. Haase's teams have no idea how to play defense. The guy making multiple millions a year is a testament to his connections and recruiting reputation. Can't be how his teams have performed. He had one good week!
Haase was not a great coach
I’d take Haase back in a heartbeat right now.
Probably not a great idea to play up tempo when you don't decide to participate on the defensive side of things.
