I'm down for wherever if someone is motivated enough to call ahead to setup and confirm the football streaming. Otherwise, I'll probably go to Red, Hot and Blue because my son likes BBQ and it is decent and convenient. However, I abhor dealing with people on the telephone.
From W&M Athletics: Tribe Athletics is excited to announce an exclusive linear broadcast partnership with Cox Communications in Virginia for the Tribe men's basketball home game against instate foe Old Dominion on Nov. 25. The contest, which follows the women's game with Loyola (Md.) as part of a Tribe basketball doubleheader, carries a 7 p.m., start time from Kaplan Arena.

The game will be available throughout Hampton Roads on Yurview Virginia, Cox's channel 1011, while additional outlets include Fairfax County (1074), Fredericksburg (1077) and Roanoke (1009). Other markets will also be included and will be announced closer to game day.
Outstanding!
If they call a tight game, we'll have trouble keeping our bigs in the game. We can't put WM on the line, when they make close to 80% of their FTs. WM always has guys that can shoot from behind the arc.
We have a FB watching bar!!
The Green Leaf Tavern
765 Scotland Street
Williamsburg, Virginia 23185

Three minute drive to Kaplan Arena (previously k/a William and Mary Hall)

They will stream the ODU vs MTSU game at 3:00 PM via Firestick. There is not a separate room or areas so come grab a table. Shouldn't be to busy since students are away and the VT/UVA game is Friday night.

Red Hot and Blue said a flat no. We've eaten at the Green Leaf a few times before it closed for renovations after new owner purchased it a year or so ago.
Please text or PM me so I can give the manager a rough count Friday.

Thanks! Food is good at Green Leaf and beer selection is exceptional. My son and I will be there, assuming the very pregnant wife is ok with being left alone.

So -- can the Monarchs defense hold the Tribe to half what they scored on Shenandoah?
Coming into the game, the Tribe had been around 30% from deep for the season. Last night, they hit 20-32 from downtown! Of course, Shenandoah is a D3 team, and a bad one at that (they were ranked dead last in the ODAC in the preseason). I don't imagine W&M is going to have the same kind of success against us, but it will be important not to let them gain any confidence early.
I hope we beat them so damn bad that they fall into a blackhole and come out on the other end just in time to see thomas Jefferson receive his degree at commencement

It needs to be VERY close to W&M Hall since the FB game might not be over till 6:15 or so. Maybe even the Hall has a meeting room with a TV we could use.

If nothing is planned I'm bringing my IPad to a restaurant as close as possible the the arena to whatch while we have dinner.

There's been a few times that I swear we had more butts in the seats that W&M had.
I bet Red Hot and Blue would do it. That's where we used to go for before this game... about a mile up Richmond Road. Assuming it is is still there but it has been awhile.

They are still there.
Tribsters are basking in the glow of their smackdown of the Hornette's from Winchester. You may catch them unawares.
What is with all these schools playing D2 and D3 schools in the regular season?
Saturday 7:00 in the burgh: William & Mary (2-2).

Results to date: High Point (66-100); Hampton (83-76); UCF (64-75); Shenandoah (103-54).

Results last game: Headlined by a shooting barrage that featured a school-record 20 3-pointers, the William & Mary men's basketball team rolled to a 103-54 win over in-state foe Shenandoah on Tuesday night inside Kaplan Arena. The Green and Gold (2-2) placed six players in double figures and 11 of the 13 that played on the evening found the scoring column. W&M connected on 11 of its opening 14 attempts from the floor, hitting eight straight at one point, and 5-of-6 from 3-point range in jumping out to a 20-point cushion.

Sophomore Matt Milon led the way for the Tribe with 17 points, making 5-of-6 from 3-point range. Senior Connor Burchfield added 15 and also made five 3's. Junior Paul Rowley scored 12 points off a quartet of 3-pointers, while sophomore Nathan Knight added 12 points, seven boards and three blocked shots. Freshman Jihar Williams scored a career-high 11 points, hitting a trio of 3-pointers. Senior guard David Cohn ran the offense tallying 11 assists compared to zero turnovers in just 19 minutes.

Stats: 79.0 pts (vs 76.2); .442 FG (.402 3s); .778 FT; -1.0 RB; A/TO= 1.28

G Oliver Tot (6-6 205 Sr). 13.8 min. .333 FG; 2.0 RB; 2.0 pts

The usual. Outside-in, inside-out, constant backdoor action with a slew of 6-5 snipers and wont-miss FT shooters. Taking 25 3s/g and 20 FTs/g. Cohn is the perfect PG in Shaver’s scheme. Nathan Night is WM’s next star.
J Pierce is a very solid player 6-6, soph that scores, rebs and can handle the ball.
I think the last time you guys came to Kaplan was when we beat you without making a single 3.

Correct. W&M won 55-48 going 0-15 from three...ODU was a torrid 2-18. I hope they have replaced the rims and filled in the scars in the backboard since that rockfight.
Looks like I'm heading to the 'Burg by myself. Let me know if anyone wants to carpool.
3 of us coming tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Son and I will be there. Let's run them off the court.

Update on FB game watch party-
If we have a big group we may move next door to the Deli (owned by the same guy that owns the Green Leafe). The Deli has a bigger TV and more seats that have a better view of the screen.

Parking is not great. The Green Leafe has a driveway that's easy to miss going to some parking behind the building. The Deli has a lot also. These establishments are right next door to each other and are directly across the street from W&M's football stadium. Since the students are gone for T'giving break there should be ample parking over there.

If I find out before we leave at around 1:15 tomorrow I will post here. If not the manager at Green Leafe will sent everyone next door.
