Next up is 2-0 Loyola Chicago and 1-0 Valpo of the Missouri Valley Conference in Savannah. They both have two more games before Savannah. Loyola was MVC preseason #3 and Valpo was #6

Both should be very competitive games
Loyola and Valpo both won their Sunday night games last night. Both teams have D1 home games tomorrow on ESPN3.
Both teams are projected to be better than everyone in the CAA with the exception of CoC. The MVC is supposed to be strong this year in general. These games should be a good early season barometer of where the team is. I'm looking forward to it.
Loyola and Valpo both won tonight and will be undefeated heading into Savannah. It's a shame that there doesn't appear to be a way to watch these games this weekend
Anyone make the trip?
We are 4 point favorites for tonight's game against loyola.

13-0 run before using a TO..... SMH.....Roy reincarnated
39-23 Loyola with 7:32 remaining in the 1st half.
It's extremely unfortunate we can't watch this game.
Wow,

Our defense SUCKS. We're going to give up 50 points in the first half. Also, looks like they are bottling up Cacock in addition to his two fouls. Talley keeping us in this.
45-35 Loyola; 4:49 remaining.

Gotta keep chipping away.

Yep. If we don't start finding something that resembles a D1 defense, we're gonna take a lot of lumps this year.
Down 8, 3:37 to go.

We've cut their lead in half in 4 minutes.
We really struggle when Cacock sits. Picked up 2 fouls and we tried every group we could and lost ground. Once he was back in the bleeding stopped.

Means he's going to have to play really smart, and probably a bit soft on defense this year. You know the CAA refs will tag him with whistles profusely. The rest of the team has to find a way to lock down on the defensive side of the court.
We've had 12 more FG attempts but can't hit a 3.

Hopefully those shots will start falling. Until then, gotta keep this in single digits.
Talley closes the half with a 3! He's really stepped his game up to start the year.
Unfortunately, Talley is the only one to actually hit a 3 this half. If our other guards can hit at all in the 2nd. half we can make a run.
53-44 Loyola at the half.

Hopefully there's some adjusting and 3's start dropping more in the 2nd half. Talley's 3 at the end was big in terms of keeping us out of a double-digit halftime deficit and pushing momentum into the 2nd half.

Play smart fellas!
