Why would anyone expect him to considering his recruiting record since leaving UK. Other than a fee years at Minnesota which he used his years at UK as a recruiting tool. He has done very little recruiting where ever he has been.

But this is what we have been saying for over a year and people are finally waking up to what some of us have been saying for a while.

It's actually quite depressing to know how bad we stink and yet how close we could be to being really good. Because we all know that Tubby isn't going to be fired in time to hire Penny and get all these top recruits Parrish is referring to.

It's like be stranded in the ocean while a beautiful yacht passes right by you but no one can see or hear you. You slowly watch it sail away into the sunset.

I'm not so sure about that. If this team wins 11-12 games and recruiting doesn't improve, I think he's gone in March.

Just my opinion, but...

This team will be .500-ish IMO. We're not good, the ceiling is not very high. Bowen and Rudd see it just as easily as you and I. Maybe Tubby coaches them up and they win a couple over .500, but ultimately it's a team cobbled together from spare parts within a 300 mile radius from campus after the program was stripped to its foundations by the greasy Lawson clan, and we aren't a top 50 team no matter how good of a coach Tubby might be.

The FBI investigation is allegedly just getting off the ground. There will likely be a number of coaches and assistant coaches that get taken down. It's a really bad time to be on the market for a new staff.

Because of the mitigating factors (Lawson bull****)he gets another year to see if the team is on the right trajectory and if he can haul in a competitive recruiting class...then either retires under pressure or gets fired.

There is absolutely nothing stopping us from firing Tubby if Penny is the choice for next coach. Penny will likely work for next to free so the buyout and paying the next coach isn't a big issue. Tubby's contract debt can be financed while we let Penny experiment.

Penny ain’t walking through that door but if he surprises me and takes the leap he will get a nice fat contract. He ain’t working for almost free like some keep suggesting.

It might not be a bad time to go coach shopping IF you are sitting at a clean program with all scholarships and no postseason bans.

A fan here sent me a bobblehead and a Lucky Penny key chain in the mail and I've been using it ever since.

I was on the Penny bandwagon before we hired Tubby. Also really liked Underwood before OSU snagged him. Andy Kennedy would've been my floor.

Tubby never would've been on my list.
