2017/8 MBB has been underway almost 12 hours.

1). Arkansas State having trouble with Evansville.

2). Howard losing a close one to GW (George Washington).

3). (double). MSU clobbered N. Florida, BUT Ind. State clobbered Indiana!!!

4). Oakland has a beast in the IL. transfer, Kendrick Nunn. Scored 36 vs. Fort Wayne.

Unless there is something not obvious, IU might not be what we are used to... Of course, giving up 17 treys will usually get you the "L".

This is the story of how upsets happen in college basketball... Just shoot the trey like crazy and make more than half.

So ISU put up 26 treys and ended up with 51 points. If they put up 26 layups or dunks (out of 26 shots) they'd end up with 52 points.

North Florida is going to give us fits again. They hit some ridiculous threes against MSU. They aren't very big, so that needs to be a game where Thompson eats. But basically their entire starting lineup shoots an effective three. Not looking forward to that one.

This is one of the worst GW teams in years, so I think we will be ok with Howard. And it's definitely our best chance to beat Indiana probably ever. I'm just hoping for a split with Oakland, but we match up decently with them. They have two horses in Nunn and Walker, but not much inside. Hoping our zone can force them into deep threes.
