We are less than 24 hours away from the season opening tip. Not only is Bridgewater a D3 team, but they are a bad D3 team and this one shoukd get ugly quick. It is perhaps the only game this year when JMU will look competent for interior offense. The gap between division 1 and division 3 is tremendous and it will be very obvious to all who witness it.

I am most interested in seeing Zach Jacobs play this year, but it doesn't look like he will be ready for the start of the season. Hopefully, he is fully healthy soon.

JMU 89
Bridgewater 57

What say ye?
It's already 18-2 Dukes...
As a Bridgewater alum, I must agree. One game against an ODAC foe was so unwatchable I walked out with 12 minutes left in the game. The Eagles simply gave up. Still, looking forward to it and the Rutgers at JMU women's game to follow. JMU 77,Bridgewater 46.
game on at 5pm?
JMU Dukes - 81

Bridge Over Troubled Waters - 51

Zach seems to be in pretty good cardio shape but I am not sure if the trainers believe he he has regained sufficient strength to play. I think he is close. He will probably be rusty for a couple of games. Zach does not put the ball on the floor well but is very skilled in just about everything else. He can be physical but the majority of his game is more finesse. If he gets his feet set he is a very good three point shooter. Our interior offense is never going to be the go to part of our attack but it is a bit "Hart excessive" to say that this game will the one time the offense will look competent.
Interior offense
10-10 at first TO.

Dukes are sloppy.
This is not pretty. Avert your eyes. Tied with D3 school

I turned it on for 2 minutes and saw four 3-pointers heaved up that weren't even close (one airball) and heard them say we were 1-10 beyond the arc. That was enough to remind me not to watch JMU MBB.
Nice run at end of half to take a more respectable 40-26 lead into half

Their tallest post player is 6'5" and we get owned when going inside. Jacking 3's just like the Brady years.

Not a good omen.
Very rag tag so far and the Dukes only have 3 assists.
I will like Greg Jones a lot if he never plays outside of 10 ft from the rim. He can be a difference maker with his activity
Watching this, there is a big part of me that wished Joey red-shirted. I think the team will be too raw this year to make a ton of noise, but could be good next year if only McLean was back
The stream was very pixelated for me. Anyone else?
Raw and ragged for long stretches of the second half. Everyone gets a pass for it being the first game, even though it was against a DII.

No excuses for the poor FT shooting.

It was a DIII
Nice upset victory!
Not much to talk about. 30pt win against a completely outmanned D3 team.
On to the real games.
Watched good portion of the game. Would have thought a game against a DIII team would be our highest assist tally of the whole season. We had 8. Offensively, I saw no effective ball distributor.
