He's still climbing the all time rushing charts, needs 37 yards to move into 6th place. This is his only year as a full-time starter. Is there anyone else in the top 10 with 1 year?
Wasn't he supposed to be replaced as the starter by now? 03-wink
It's a little much to credit Swanson with only 1 season. He started several games when Hunt was injured and took over in the 2nd half in a couple more when Hunt got dinged up. Had over 900 yards in 2015.

Rockets have been using multiple RBs regularly for 10 years or more, so not surprised a back as good as Swanson piled up a bunch of yards even in the # 2 role. Heck, this year Seymour and Thompkins each have nearly 500 yards already to go along with Swanson's 800.
Swanson has already been an All MAC RB. No surprise about his talent.

I stated 1 year as a full-time starter. Of those multiple backs used (excellent ones btw) he is on pace to finish in the top 5-6 all-time THREE starts prior to this year. You acknowledge how good he is which is the point I'm making yet, ppl were on this board predicting Art and Shakif would take his job by year's end.

Swanson is now 6th all-time in rushing yards, needs 53 to catch Flu, keep climbing!

The guy i predicted to take his spot has 11 TD's also. For being wrong, I am pleasantly surprised with the production of our entire unit.

Swanson: 5.5 YPC, 1045 yards, 11TD's
Seymour: 6.5 YPC, 611 yards, 11 TD's

Before the season, I thought Swanson would struggle a bit and we would have to utilize Thompkins more as a feature back. I was dead wrong. Swanson has been awesome. Seymour is going to be the best ever if he stays healthy the next 3 years
Not much question about who our next back is going to be. That run by Thompkins was electrifying, too. Just goes to show what he can do if he can get loose. Glad to see Brad Smith get his TD. Apparently McCrimmon didn't get any carries. If the stats on the site are up to date he hasn't seen action since the BSU game. Anyone know if he's hurt?
Swanson is the straw that stirs the drink.

5 TD's in one game which were clearly coaches decisions (Swanson could have easily scored those TD's as well). Look, my whole point is the guy has been a Toledo great but isn't acknowledged as one. What other great would be taken out near the goal line after being primarily responsible for the whole drive? Mind you he was among conference leaders in TD's. The RZ issues occurred when they replaced him or didn't run the ball at all. Shakiff may finish among the top backs, Swanson already has with games to play, let's appreciate him.

The offense flows better (against good teams) when he's featured.
