One thing I just noticed in that press release from JMU Athletics...

...it says ticket prices for students are FREE.

I think in the past there was a mandatory $5 or $10 price tag on NCAA Playoff games for students, but perhaps JMU is picking up the bill??? Pretty sure my daughter (a Jr. at the time) paid for tickets to the Colgate game 2 years ago, but I think JMU Athletics stepped up a season ago to make tix free to students - at least, for the Friday night Freezer Blowout game of the Softies (not sure about the first home playoff game against UNH).
As far as I can remember, JMU picked up the tab on Playoff Student tickets last year as well.

Or someone/group picked up the tab. 8000 x $5 = $40K/20 Alpha Dogs = $2K per pup
I said this last year, I'll say it again.... if JMU would make a special "one-time donation" button on the jmusports page to help cover this cost, I'd gladly kick in $50 bucks to cover student tickets. I'm halfway across the country, already bought last-minute flights for CGD and had the RU flights booked from the beginning of the season... I likely won't make it back for any playoff games, but happy to contribute to a packed stadium.
$5 seems to be the “standard” FCS student playoff ticket price, may be mandated by NCAA so they can get a cut.

A lot of other schools also give free student tickets, paid for by a sponsor.
Saturday Dec 2 will be a double header day with Men's basketball unless JMU gets the Friday night ESPN game.

Love football - basketball double headers.

For the second round there are no Friday night games, so it will definitely be on Dec. 2.
Shameless bump...

...let's gobble up tickets. Show this team (and especially Coach Houston) our appreciation. If you can't make it, consider buying some General Admission tix and donate them somehow.

Spread the word. The JMU Family needs to show up big time during December at home.
Has there been any talk of kickoff time for the first playoff game? I think the MBB tip time is still TBD so I'm assuming we're looking at an early to mid afternoon football game. The UNH playoff game was at 2pm last year.

Sat afternoon seems logical. Probably not determined until after brackets released. Second round games likely only on ESPN3, but quarter and semi-final games can be shifted to Friday night to air on ESPN2.

I'm guessing noon or 1pm as that seems to be the norm for those games, especially since we have a mbb game in the evening (not that many will care about that)

I know the ticket office is closed today (Wed) thru Saturday, but really curious to know how ticket sales went for the first 3 days (Sun-Tue earlier this week). I guess we may not find out until early next week.
The playoff game on Dec. 2 is at 2 pm.
Anyone know if I can choose my seats for the Dec. 2 game? I'm not a season ticket holder (I live in Georgia, don't throw things at me), and when I went to purchase 4 tickets, I didn't have a choice of seats. Does that come available later on?

Are you a Duke Club member? When I sign in I have the ability to choose what kind of seats I want.

You should have the option to choose your seats after the priority tickets deadline (Sunday).
