DrunkMod, surely you understand drunk speech to text! He clearly meant to say "Not good at all, fear the rhombus"

"The school's football program went nearly three years without a player being arrested, but four current and one former player have been arrested in the last six months." BW this is troubling and has been for some time. Football and Basketball cant keep players out of trouble. What is going on these days? Some players make the dumbest decisions. I do think they are innocent until proven guilty but they keep getting themselves in these situations.

ODU football may stink on the field but they are acting like a big time program off the field!

By all appearances, could it be that Coach Wilder is losing control of the team?

I will assume that BW will add this to the resumes of his staff. Yet another post-season where assistants will be let go, because "that was the problem." Over time, you have to look at the common denominator.

On a team of 100+ young men, you're going to end up with a couple in trouble. That's just statistics for you. Perhaps, we just didnt appropriately appreciate ODU football staying out of the police blotter the last few years.

Yo Playa, gotta change that code on your phone... They will go through everything while you're sleep or in the shower.

Evading the police.
Beating a guy to (almost) death.
Choking out a female.
Those are things that shouldn’t be happening in our program.

When did I defend the actions of these players? I just said statistically, you're going to have a few guys get in trouble. That's just the fact of dealing with 100+ young men. The best college coaches aren't immune to it, why should we expect BW to be? We wouldnt have a Fulmer Cup if it wasn't a common issue.

Your tone (of your original post) makes it sound as if it’s ok. As if it’s expected

Old Dominion is not the only school where this happens. That doesn't mean that we condone it.
11-07-2017, 07:50 AM
It sucks, but we knew this type of stuff would happen occasionally before we started football at all. The anti-football folks even used it as a reason not to start a team. There's no condoning the actions, but I don't think they are surprising at this rate. Pretty normal unfortunately for college football. Also, let's remember people are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Sounds like you've played the game I missed the social media/ smartphone era by 5 years or so. *67 and never give your primary screen name on AIM/AOL were game changers for me. Until I got busted during a date when my Nokia butt dialed another girl.

Ugh... *67 was the worst. 3-way calling was just as bad too. That's where the term "Let me call you right back" became popular so you could clear the line.
