According to NCAA records*

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NC...ff_returns

The record for CARRER kickoff returns for TD in FBS is 7. He already has 5 and if not for a hold would have had 6.

The single season record for return average 40.1 Pollard is average 41.1 after the Tulsa game.

* have not seen the actual NCAA.ORG page to verify these list of records.

Dude is a stud.
First team all-American good, for sure.
So fast it looks easy. The best ones always are
If not for holds he'd have 8.
He's GOOD!
I've wondered if Norvell hasn't picked up a trick or 2 about returns though. I wonder if he's had the same type success at previous jobs?

He is great at finding the right crack at the first layer and then making one cut and taking off. His ability to cut without losing speed is what really sets him apart with kick returns. He also has great balance.

My sources say the Dude will play on Sundays. Return man, running back or receiver. Will be drafted by round 4 as a returner.
U CAN'T TEACH SPEEDK
Gifted. Unselfish. BACKbreaker. A pleasant surprise. In one word....WOW!!!
I read somewhere where Novell said Pollard's returning skill is instinctive. Zig to where your gut tells you the seam will be.
Pollard is fast and talented...But the numbers he is putting up are team numbers from good coaching...

He is running through some big lanes.

Talent trumps coaching.
Said it last year, Pollard is friggn' crazy good. I honestly believe he will be playing on Sundays ... dude is a weapon indeed.
Dat boy good. May even end up being better than the Ant Man when all is said and done.
The two best return seasons in Tiger history, I would guess.
It's hard to believe Memphis went over a decade without a kick return for a TD. It's kind of nice knowing every time this dude fields the ball, he has a chance to take it to the house.
Two decades.

And that one would have been called back if they had replay back then.
He is good. Part of it is coaching - no doubt. But most of it is Pollard. You can see it in his open field work at WR too. He wastes no time moving up field. He is confident and instinctive. He hardly ever guesses wrong on lanes, angles, and which side of the defender to exploit.

When he commits to getting up field, he puts the burners on and goes!
Yeah. Pop has the potential, but he still dances laterally too much instead of taking those first steps upfield then try to read the lane.
