How many AAC teams get in and who do you think they are?

3-5
WSU
Cincy
UCF
----
Smu
---
UConn/Temple/houston
locks

UC
WSU

Good chance:
UCF
SMU

after that, who knows...
Locks:
UC
Wichita

Likely:
SMU

Work to Do:
UCF
Houston
Temple
UCONN

I'm gonna go with 5.

Five is a lot. Below UC and WSU, teams are gonna beat each other up. I say 3, with 2 to the NIT.
three to four
I'd say 4 is a good bet (WSU, Cincy, UCF, SMU) with 5 a possibility if one of the top 4 doesn't win the conference tournament. A UCONN or a Temple could get hot on the final weekend.

Everybody in the conference would have been expecting three bids this year without the Shockers joining. Now that we're here, 4 is not unreasonable at all. To me, getting only 3 would be as surprising as getting 5.

the "beat each other up" comment is as big in basketball...the acc had 9 in the ncaa last year with a 10th being the first 4 out (3 more in the NIT, 12 total in a top tourney). the big east had 7 for 10 members

5 (even 6) for 12 members isnt some crazy amount

the amount wont be affected by beating each other up but handling business in OOC by the majority of league members

if we handle business in OOC beating each other wont affect our bids

if everyone is as good as they have been proclaiming to be the last few months, 5 will actually be an easy task..

Bold says it all.
All of which means I'm not sold on everybody winning a lot of big OOC games 5 deep into the conference.

I started to clarify by saying 3, and possibly 4, but I don't think for a minute we'll get 5 into the NCAA.

How many did we get last year? Two. UC and SMU. With WSU added this year, it would make 3 seem logical, with UCF or Houston maybe being the 4th.

Hey, it would be nice to be wrong. It's just an opinion, not life or death.

Heck, it's not even football.
Really hope American Teams can destroy OCC opponents.

And bring that RPI to the conference play

Plus, we are all on the same boat

Like the breakdown but not the likely final number. I'm thinking 3 maybe 4.

i wasn't attacking but stating a lot of AAC teams are bragging on how good they are, if they are as good as theyve been bragging...5 wont be an issue

and last year wasnt a good year to judge our capability. memphis was in a coaching transition, uconn lost 3 espn 300 to injury, temple lost its best player to injury, tulsa graduated 8 players from its previous tourney team (played almost all freshmen), houston only had 1 big and he was injured half the season and houston was still a game away from tourney and had weak OOC (high seed nit)....and wichita wasn't in the league

we had 2 last year but 4 before that when wichita wasnt here

according to the board and there fans:
1 wichita: this the the deepest most talented team we have ever had
2 cincy: we haven't had a team this deep and good in ages, our entire starting 5 should be all conference
3 uconn all our players (espn 300 players) are coming back from injury, we'll return to form, Alterique gilbert will win freshmen of the year, we're a bubble team
4 ucf- our best team ever
5 Temple- fans/most media: we are going to be the biggest turn around in basketball with josh brown back
6 SMU - we are the returning champs, shake is Preseason POY. we have the best offensive trio in the league
7 Houston: fans/coaches/player: this is the best houston team since the swc (last years team barely missed the tourny)
8 Tulsa we played 8 freshmen last year, we had no experience last year we are way better this year. coach: we will return to being a top team in this league
9 Memphis - we are a lot better than our 9th projection, we are going to be a NIT caliber, maybe a bubble team
10 ECU - we arent good but we are never horrible
11 Tulane - we've been recruiting very well, have a great head coach.we just beat lsu in a scrimmage..we'll surprise some people
12. usf- we'll suck but we think 10 games is possible

i dont think 3 is logical. ...our first year with this line up we had 2 (but ineligible smu would have made 3), we had 4 the year after and thats without wichita..

adding Wichita the logical for us is 4 not 3

but seeing how good a lot of our teams think they are 5 should be an easy target..if everyone is close to how good they think they are 7 is possible but obviously that wont happen
Five.

Like everyone else I see Cincy and WSU as locks.... and barring injury they are both sweet 16 minimum.

After that I see three of the next four.

I give an edge to UCF and SMU.

Then one of two between Temple and Houston.

Ya. We'll pretty much know our max bid chances by XMas.

Better than ninth, yes. NIT was qualified, not definite. Bubble team is BS.

Like I said, show me those posts, or your stuff is BS. I'm sure I could challenge most of your other stuff in there, too, if I gave a rat's azz.
