We have H&Hs with the Tar Heels and ECU in 2024-2025. Hope we're balling it out a little better by then because that could fun.
That's good scheduling. WTG, Niners.
Should set some attendance records. Nice job.
I believe these are the same years we have a home and home with UNC. It will be nice having a home game against one of those guys two years in a row.
Are there thoughts to expand Richardson by then? I mean, I know it's expandable but does bringing in ECU and Chapel Hill impact that directly?

Judy said they have some drawings for expansion (I'm assuming something different from the original 40,000 expansion), but she didn't give a timeline.
Those kinds of series help with recruiting for sure.
Series with local schools are always great. As long as you win of course.
clt says if we don’t expand soon, tickets will be impossible for these games.

I don't think you expand a stadium to accommodate 2 games. If you can't consistently sellout a 15k seat stadium for CUSA opponents, then it is a waste of funds to expand stadium.

Smallest stadium in fbs hurts our ability to recruit. Bad recruiting is part of the reason we aren't very good.

You never build your stadium for what you can sellout every week, because when big games come around, you are ******. Limited capacity can also hurt your ability to schedule those big games.

I can almost guarantee you there was a handshake agreement with the acc schools that more capacity would be in place for those games.

Getting 20K-25K in a stadium isn't the problem for Charlotte, it's a lack of winning and poor coaching.

I don't blame the majority of fans for not showing when you are getting beat by NC A&T and Georgia State.
For A&T we sold SRO tickets the week of the game and people were 3-4 deep around the stadium (18,651 attendance). I don't know how many people didn't buy tickets because it was only SRO available that week but I would imagine it was a few. It's not just two games either, we have Duke, App, Maryland etc coming to The Rich. We have got to expand but at the same time get the AD fixed #firejudyrose. I wonder how many tickets won't be sold next year for the App game because of the lack of seating?
Just to give a little insight.... Before Marshall built Joan C. Edwards Stadium (Christened initially as Marshall University Stadium), the team played at Fairfield Stadium which seated around 18000. It rarely sold out with exception of the home opener and the 1aa playoffs.

The new stadium was built and our average attendance jumped to around 25000. Basically, the "if you build it, they will come" philosophy worked for us.
I realize that it might be a little more difficult for Charlotte because of a lack of an established football history. But it can be done.

Not true.....how many C-USA teams (or teams in general) actually sell out all of their seats. You build to your largest need, not your average need.
