It's only been 5 minutes and it is unbearable how bad we look against a 1-7 team.
I thought my expectations could not have been any lower. All I was hoping for was us to be competitive against a 1-7 team. Apparently, I was expecting too much.
As much as I have liked and spoken up for Paul Haynes in the past, I am now going to call it as I see it. Watching this game, I am convinced that PH is a coaching fraud. I know that that is a brutal thing to say, but these players have given up and they are not coached. Let me repeat. They do not know and play their positions. I challenge anyone to watch this game and tell me otherwise. Our coaching staff is over paid.
I had to turn to baseball by 8:20. I just couldn’t watch the offense any more.
No understanding of momentum. Finally score, then drive them back about 20 yards and force a punt. Then we make a QB switch and fumble at the 5. Talk about giving away any momentum you had.
That is th 4th or 5th time they have pulled the QB right after he scored. It baffles me every time they do it.
Abysmal.

That's an understatement and then some! Coaching staff's turned into pumpkins
How bad do you have to be to have a 1-7 team put in their backup qb?
This is gross. First and last time for me this year.
Three of the four MAC teams on ESPN tonite looked pretty good!!....and then there is Kent- agree with all the comments- schemes on offense/ QB changes after we scored etc/ Haynes pacing the sideline as usual-not really engaged with any players/coaches.... I hate the feeling of helplessness about this program-WE ARE BEING CRUSHED BY A 1-7 TEAM!!

My problem is- if you fire Haynes now- there is no apparent "interim coach" from the OC or DC??
I don't know what to say, other that I'm glad I wasn't able to go to the game as I had once planned.

PH has lost five in a row to BG and been blasted the last two years. He's quoted as noting BG is a really good team - really? Only by comparison to his squad03-hissyfit
Before this game - Kent State was 129th out of 130 teams in offense per game. 284 yards against Bowling Green won't move the needle any.

They're averaging 249.6 yards per game. If they add 50 yards per game, they'd only move up to 127th out of 130 teams.

Also- they're dead last in scoring with 10 ppg before playing BGSU. UTEP is next lowest at 12.5 ppg. It's amazing they could be this bad year after year.
I have seen HS teams with a better offensive philosophy. no clue why you change QB after you score and have some momentum. ?????????????????????
It's sickening. Depressing. I think the time has come for the university to take drastic steps, but I have no idea what would work.
