It shouldn't have gotten this far. Somebody dropped the ball and should be submitting a resignation.

I agree. They should have been ready for the inspection process, especially knowing they were already on probation.
From the Toledo Blade pages of opinion...

That somebody is the dean of the college of medicine and life sciences, but from recent stories it looks like no top administrators will be held responsible.
The second of two editorials in two days.

This from a failing newspaper and that also is tied to a cable tv system that
will disappear in the near future. Btw, the University is not known as Bancroft High nationally. Here in S Fl, UT gets a fair shake and a positive response when I talk about it. The Blade is right about the ball being dropped in this instance and it is a minor thing, unless you are one of the individuals that is being effected. UT seems like they are trying to fix the situation. Two editorials on the subject seems like overkill. Nothing else worthwhile to opine on? The Blade and Blocks always enjoy taking a shot at the University. Paul Block giving his mistress, Marion Davies to William Randolph Hearst, his buddy, tells me what type of individual he was.
Then the sons caught picking up the competitor's newspapers and dumping them. Great family!

Since the program cannot admit new students, and it could take years to regain accreditation, there could be no students in the program in just a short time. I hold the president, provost and dean responsible for this mess, although none want to take any responsibility. And by the way, the PA website says nothing about losing accreditation, so there are likely students applying for admission to a program that can't accept any.
The PA program has been reinstated.
