CUSA regular season champs and undefeated in conference play. Their only losses, both by just one goal, were to #8 Texas and #14 Texas A&M.

Congrats!

We don’t have a men’s soccer team so common parlance on campus is “Rice Soccer.”

Excuse our error !!!!

I know a lot of our students and alums want a men’s team, but I’m not so sure how feasible that is in the current NCAA climate.
Guess we'll just have to win the Conference Tournament. Too bad we couldn't make it 4 in a row.
Congrats!

FIU's men's team is one of two undefeated teams in the nation and is currently ranked #8!
Well Done!
woohoo!! that's awesome! hope y'all can go deep in the NCAA tourney
#8 Charlotte just upset the #1 seed Owls in the first round of the conference tourney 1-0.

I'm not familiar enough with women's soccer to know the chances of Rice getting an at-large.

Has CUSA ever had an at large bid in women's soccer? Not that I can recall.

Didn't Charlotte win the conference last year? They may not be the typical #8 seed but this is still a very surprising outcome. The path for UNT got a little bit easier.
clt says carbs are bad. Go niners
Good luck to all CUSA teams and let's roll in the post season!
Take a look at #8,
Sorry Rice people we have a women soccer team that's only good in the tournament... Go Niners!

Perhaps if Charlotte wins its way through the tournament that will help Rice's RPI.

Charlotte's women's (and men's) soccer teams are historically strong. Women have been to several NCAAs in recent years and the men have been to 6-7 consecutive with a Natl. Championship game loss a few years back. This has actually been a down year for both, but they both are still pretty good teams, just not up to normal standards.
