Electrical and computer engineering majors added.

Candidates that graduate from these highly sought out fields will command starting salaries at $75-80k. Not bad for a 21-22year old.
Actually it is a single degree program.

Computer engineering is a really neat program. We had a summer intern about 20 years ago studying computer engineering at a major tech university.

I see computer engineers as a 'specialty' or branch of electrical engineering.

This is the type of program EMU should have had many years ago in the College of Technology.

Increasing the offerings in engineering I assume has been a long time goal of the university. I assume KPJ can speak to it.
Dear Friends,
Those who are alums, did you read in the Eastern Magazine that Eastern has privately raised nine million towards the new athletic facility to be built at the north end of Rynearson. This has all been accomplished through a quiet campaign.

Yes. Apparently this is enough to get the project going after the season is over.

I have no idea how they plan to get from 9M to 35M and how they plan to build the project with a fraction of the needed monies.

Can they build 25, 33 or 40% of a football building? 03-lmfao

What's I'm saying lets hope some people step up with big gifts and we get to say 15M (long ways to go).

What can we do with 15M unless the athletic department can borrow money to advance the project.

Creighton keeps saying it's a go after the season, so apparently some financing involved? Not sure how you do a project like that in pieces when it's all so tied together. The project means a lot of shuffling of many other teams, buildings, offices, etc.

There still seems to be a disconnect between Creighton's pronouncements, and the absolute silence from the AD/Board/President.
Dear EagleTough,
Yes, Coach Creighton has said ground breaking would be taking place after the season was over, and the others may be letting him be the spokes person for this project. Athletic Director Wetherbee, concurred with Creighton at the first football luncheon, and this whole project may be kept quiet for the time being, because of the vocal minority on campus who are against athletics in general.

Gotcha.
