Well EMU already cornered the grey turf thing. Is there some significance to grey? Or is it a fashion thing? Something Nike is trying to sell?
I have just accepted the fact that we are going to do these things when it comes to jerseys. I like the clean look and the fact that we aren't doing those horrible two-tone helmets.
All grey struck me a bit off-the-wall so I figured there might be a reason. Support for something or a fashion thing.

Somehow there seems to be a fashion movement in this city that wants everything to look "industrial." The remodel on that downtown hotel, which is supposed to be our showplace is an example. So too some of the pro-medica remodel of the steam plant. Cool idea for a boutique hotel but not something I'd want to see, if treating myself or someone else special and definitely not a motif that would motivate me in the office. I don't know any former factory workers that really relished that look. Probably one reason factories are brighter with more color now.

So, anyone know why "grey?"
dumb idea, as bad as the grey field at EMU
IIRC, men’s hoops have worn gray for years. I don’t get it but lots of schools seem to like that.

Yeah. At least there is some gold on it. Hopefully not yellow. Sometimes they look better on the field than the do in the photos.

Just win.
Not a bad look.... Strange for a day game tho. Should have been the NIU or Tulsa night game jerseys.
as long as it is grey and not gray, I'm ok with it. Maybe it is grey pants with a gray jersey - or vice versa.

I'm old fashioned and superstitious about this stuff. I would prefer to stay with the color combo that bring us wins and wear it until we lose. Don't even wash them - helps keep the opposition from getting close enough to want to make a tackle.

I don’t like them myself—pretty blah imo. But if we win I won’t care.
The helmet is better than the two tone helmet with the invisible rocket

Looks alright on TV

I loved the look. Very sleek looking and the matte grey helmets with the gold rocket were a nice touch. The whole grey phenomena is just a current phase in college football. Tons of schools do it as the color can easily be perceived as a neutral & also fit in with school's main colors......but I agree with you, should have been worn for a night game.
