BOT will fire Tom Jurich tomorrow at 1:00p.m. with cause. Refusing to fire Pitino did him in.
Wow... Just a shame... Deserving of course... But a shame. I always wished Pitt followed Louisville's model for running an athletic department. Not at this cost, however. I think Louisville will be fine.
Jurich had refused to fire Pitino when told to due so by BOT and Interim President Postel. He also signed the Adidas contract without approval of the BOT and Interim President Postel. Cause is insubordination apparently.
Why is it a shame? Alot of crap happened on his watch.
It may take a few more painful moves before the healing can start.

Tom said that he would have fired Rick if he would have been told that Rick was coach 2.
Tom meet with the BOT & the presidents office 11 times regarding the Adidas deal. The deal was already approved before Postel became the interim president & his office had all of the information. Postel statement about the deal has already been proven to be false.
There is no cause, in my opinion, to fire Jurich. Why do you think that he was put on PAID leave?
I wouldn't count Tom out yet, he has a lot of support from the boosters. Boosters with names on buildings, Jim Patterson for example (baseball stadium).

Pawntel has stated multiple times that he never asked TJ to fire CRP. Must have been somebody on the BoT that asked him. Or Postal is lying again.
I cannot find an up date on how the vote came out. Anybody heard yet?
What is the feeling in Louisville about Petrino?
Do folks think he'll fight on with a new AD or take the next offer? IMHO, he is very solid coach (near elite) and can keep Louisville in the Top 25 for the long term. However, new ADs often want their own guy...and the existing coach has a short leash.

10-3 fired with cause. Pure speculation on my part as FBI subpoenaed Coach Pitino earlier today is that TJ may be being looked at as well. If my pure speculation is correct, you have to guess the University is working with the FBI and is privy to some information they can’t share yet.
Other than that, anything is possible as to their reasoning including a power play that would open up ALL the speculation and conspiracy theories.

President postal would not take any questions about Athletics in post firing meeting. As long as He is Louisvilles president, Honestly I don't feel I can support anything He has to say. If it means not buying anymore tickets, clothing or whatever, so be it. I still respect the remaining coaches and players but Postal, Papa John......Adios !

That is pure speculation. I don't understand the reasoning for not answering why, it will come out in public records when it goes to court anyway. Postel & Grissom are just gutless, they both need to go next.
Tyra said today that he hasn't seen anything in the Adidas contract that would need to be redone. Just more Postel bs. The way that Postel & Grissom handled this will leave the UofL vulnerable to lawsuits. With the money lost due to NCAA sanctions & now 2 possible firings without cause will severely handicap the university financially. There was a proper way to handle this situation & this wasn't it.

Postel & Grissom slithering away to hide behind a rock says a lot about them & their so called leadership. They were among the ones complaining about the lack of transparency under the old administration & they are proving to be worse.
